Remodeled our kitchen and decided to go with a drawer microwave instead of another over-the-range unit and I'm really happy with this one so far. Only been using it a few weeks not and it's been great except for one odd incident and I'm not sure what to make of it. I put about 1/4 cup of frozen mixed vegetables in a single layer on a microwave safe plate and set the timer to 1:23 at 40% power. After about 20 seconds I heard an odd audible change in the power followed by a small popping sound. Looked in the microwave while it was running and a carrot cube sparked and popped! Then a frozen green bean did the same thing!! Not sure what that was all about but I stopped the microwave and removed the plate. Nothing like has happened since but I haven't tried heating frozen vegetables that way either. Mixed in with chicken, rice the vegetables from the same bag the same thing didn't happen. Apparently my microwave is a toddler and doesn't like vegetables unless you disguise them inside of something else. ... show more

Worked for 11 months and began sparking and arching while in use. Extremely scary to my wife and I as we would like our house to not catch on fire. Was glad I bought the 3 year extended warranty for it until I tried to file a claim and they would not accept it cause it was still under warranty from the manufacturer. Contacted the manufacturer and they invoiced me $150 to process the warranty claim and (hopefully) get a replacement microwave. Why I had to pay $150 for a faulty $1000 product that could’ve caught my house on fire is beyond me. And now I have to hope the replacement doesn’t do the same thing, however I’m not holding my breath. I wish Cosmo was more customer friendly and waive the fee for a replacement. Also if they can fix the issue so the replacement product doesn’t do the same thing, that’d be great. ... show more

Good built-in microwave draw. Easy to use. Brought and installed over two years ago. No problems with microwave. I would have like it to be an inverter microwave instead of just a traditional one. Also be 1200 Watts instead of 1000 Watts of power

Absolutely love this new microwave drawer in my kitchen remodel. Not only is it stylish the door opens very smoothly and seems very sturdy. I was a little worried it didn't have a turntable but that's because the magnetron thagenerates the microwaves actually turns inside the microwave and it cooks our food so much more evenly! Bought this very expensive microwave drawer in March 2023. By July 2023, the door started malfunctioning. It does not stay open and automatically closes. I have been in contact with cosmo who told me I will have to ship the item back to California (I live on the east coast) so they can look at it and offer replacement parts if possible. I understand they cannot fix it without first evaluating it, but I’m so frustrated on how poor the quality is after only 4 months of use. Likely a defective sensor, but the microwave is built into our island, so it will be very cumbersome to remove it and troubleshoot. *** Update 2/2026. This microwave is now sparking on both sides while heating up food. We bought it 3 years ago and already need to look for a brand new microwave to replace it. The door also still does not stay open and shuts automatically so you basically have to put food in and out of the microwave at lightning speed before the door closes. This works great. Low noise, easy to use especially with the presets on it. Exact fit for our cabinets and easy to clean. The quality seems pretty good. First one with a roll out drawer.

    • DON'T BUY! sparking and poor customer service

After a month of use, the unit started sparking. When I initiated a warranty claim, they have given me the run around. It took several days for them to even approve the claim. The fine print of the warranty states that shipping costs aren't cover, so they are charging $150 to ship the microwave (or replacement microwave). A week after paying the $150, I received an email stating they still haven't approved anything yet. I called and they're telling me that it's now (suddenly) approved, but it's still going to be another 2-3 business weeks before I will receive it because the new replacement microwave has to go through testing to make sure there are no issues with it. Ridiculous. 3 weeks of going back and forth with customer service to be told it's going to take another 2-3 weeks before I receive the replacement! DON'T BUY IT! It looks nice, but it's not worth the fire risk or the headache! ... show more
