  • Got a total of 4 kits, everyone of them had an issue and would not run at rated speeds
I ordered 2 kits of 16gb 3200. First set would not run at 3200 at all. Pulled one kit out of PC and tested the kits individually. Would boot at 3200 but would not open any games without them crashing almost immediately. Sent those kits back and had Amazon send me two new ones. These kits lasted together for about 30 minutes with no issues at XMP settings. Stress tested on prime95 large ffts( or whichever one tested the RAM) and it went for 15 minutes with no errors. Then played Star Wars BF2 for another 15 minutes perfectly fine. Then out of nowhere, blue screen, Computer rebooted and as soon as I signed in, blue screen, rebooted again and as soon as login screen loaded, blue screen again. Then windows went into recovery mode. So I pulled out the ram and put my older corsair vengeance kit in that runs at 3600MHZ and no issues, I also have another vengeance kit in another computer at 3200 that is the same specs as these white rgb ones and it runs perfect at XMP. Both kits also run perfectly fine together in the same computer at 3200mhz CL16, so I know my motherboard and cpu can handle 4 sticks 32GB total at 3200mhz no problem. So I do not know what corsair is doing to pass these kits off as "3200mhz" but clearly they are no longer capable of actually running at those speeds with whatever batch I ended up getting. Shows that corsair doesn't actually test the ram for long enough. Sending these ones back for a refund and ordering a g skill kit to try that out. ... show more

  • 3 of 4 had major failures in memtest86
I like these Dimms, I really do. They are pretty The Lights work well. And like most Dimms, are easy to install. but (sigh) I had one bad stick from a pack of 2 (2X8GB) which started causing game crashes. I checked both sticks individually, in different slots. One was brilliantly bad, the other had no errors at all. Yay one to get me by. So I reached out to Amazon and customer service was great. They worked something out with me so that I could get 2 new ones, which arrived next day. Well, after putting those in (yes I turned off power and made sure everything was unplugged and done properly) the computer blue screened right away booting up, it even froze on post! I didn't panic, I took a deep breath and super nerd powers activated. I could barely get it to go to windows before it BSOD again over and over. Why can't they just make it a green screen? Or a Pink one? ugh blue screen of death just looks so bad on bootup. Onto testing. I ran MemTest and it was so bad it froze the tests. I ran them individually and first failed in the most amazing time, 7 minutes. Saved a lot of time there I'm glad I didn't have to focus on that one to much. Second one took about a half hour before hitting 10,000 errors. (thats still very bad) Fortunate for me, Memtest ended the tests early because of how quickly they were failing, so I didn't have to waste to much time on it but..... So now I'm stuck with 4 dimms, and only 1 of them is working properly. So, sorry Corsair you've been my go to RAM choice for a long time but I'm considering a different brand this time. Not sure why these Dimms decided to fail so brilliantly, but 3 out of 4 isn't good. Hopefully this big fail photo helps someone make a decision on this product, maybe the RGB one isn't that good. I've had a good time with Corsair before, just not this time. ... show more

  • Fails to meet Rated Speeds (3200 MHz)/DONT BUY
I run an XMP Profile on this for what the RAM is rated for and it constantly crashes due to memory issues. Running a RAM quality or "Mem Test" shows that the RAM is faulty and throws error codes. I've bought 4 of these RAM modules, with a failure rate of essentially 50%. I returned the first batch and everything looked fine until it began crashing and crashing more frequently (due to memory handling issues) after only a year of owning them. Mind you, I don't overclock them as they're fast enough to run what I use them for. All in all, save yourself the trouble and go for a better set of RAM modules. ... show more

  • false advertising -maybe
Cant believe seems im the first one to notice this - the description says 2x8 gb which is all well and good, but then they put a (2pack) on the image which made me think - its actually 2 packs of 2x8 gbs for a total of 4x8gbs. which is a great deal! cause i was wanting 32gbs total - well this is not the case and now i have to send them back and order 32gbs from someone else (ordering 2 of these from this seller would put it at approx 160$ i can get 32gbs of same for 130$ from others (maybe this is just me, but i don't see a reason to put a 2pack image on the product image if your not offering 2 packs worth of what the description says) ... show more

  • Horrible service from Corsair
We purchased 2x8gb memory for my son's new tower build. Only 1 of the 2 memory sticks was working. AMZ customer service transferred me to Corsair support where the rep informed me that we had to return both. It's my son's virtual school computer and we need to have at least the 1 working ram stick in order for the computer to work. Corsair rep said that if we wanted to keep the 1 ram stick and return the other, then we'd have to go through a lengthy RMA process that involves leaving a deposit for the full amount of purchase. Crazy!! Horrible customer service from Corsair. ... show more

  • Looks great and performs well... when it works.
Bought my first kit of these a few months ago from Microcenter. Installed and booted up, but ran into system stability issues and constant bluescreens, a classic sign of bad RAM. Bought a second kit off of Amazon (because that was going to be faster than making another long trip to Microcenter), installed it, and it worked great. Enter present day. I decided to take my system up from 16GB to 32GB RAM (thanks Flight Simulator). Ordered another kit off amazon and eagerly awaited its arrival. Got it installed, fired it up, and boom, system stability issues and constant bluescreens. With the first faulty set, I thought "that's fine, sometimes it happens", but now here I am at 2 of the 3 of the kits I've purchased being faulty, and it's no longer a minor excusable thing. ... show more
