  • Amazing product, as long as you also have an amazing graphics card as well!
Now let me explain something, getting this much ram is a MUST... I don't care what you say, even if its "I wil never have to use this much ram ever!" This card just makes your PC that much faster. HOWEVER, If you think you can all of a sudden run heavy games like COD, than think again... yes this does make it easier to run games and programs... you MUST also get a better graphics card. Like the saying goes "RAM will only ever go as far as your graphics card can go..." this means that if you have NVIDIA GT 1030 than that means your RAM will never be able to surpass 12GB of usage without slowing your computer down to a crawl. I may have 32GB of RAM, but because of my poor graphics card... I cannot use my computer to all of its potential. So this product is prolly one of the best ones you can get (unless you want to go overboard), but I also HIGHLY reccomend you get a better graphics card that can actually withstand the ammount of RAM you are abaout to buy or use. ... show more

  • XMP memory channel needs to be changed on computer bios to use 1600, stock speed is 1200, thumbs up
a pair of 1600 was bought , box says 1600 but bios always shows that these 2 are 1200 and the rest 1600 its a 4 Ram slots MB, and amm lol I didn't get the other pair because this happened, but it helped the equipment for sure lol ill probably buy other equipment from this company but not for that 2013 equipment lol -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- with time i learned about XMP memory channel and if turned On the RAM will change to the second channel so to say, like boosted channel and it will run at 1600MHz, stock speed is 1200MHz Apologies for my ignorance on the previous review and the previous 4stars :&, im buying the second set, that specific MoBo' only had 4 slots wich these ram combos fit perfect, Corsair has a reputation to their product and that adds the comfort of buying even if you don't always know what your doing lol ... show more

  • Gets the job done
There's probably better RAM out there, but for 16GB of RAM and DDR3, this is a pretty good deal. It will take care of what you need, even for gaming, without having to break your bank on high end rig components.

  • Great RAM for an upgrade to an older system
I've long been a fan of Corsair products. I've been working from home since March, and I was running into severe lack of memory problems in my PC. I've got an older i7 970 on an x58 board (runs DDR3 in a triple channel config), and back when I built it, the 6gb I had was plenty. I ran into the issue of having to buy multiple sets. I decided to pull out all the stops and max out the board's 48gb supported (8gb x6 slots). As people have stated, it runs at 1333 unless you enable the XMP profile. I'm not in a rush to build a new computer, since I'm not playing AAA games (World of Warcraft is the most intensive game I play), so I just wanted to update some of the components in my PC to help keep up with the growing system requirements for a lot of the games now For the price, this is an excellent option to anyone who's just upgrading an old system that they're not ready (or able) to replace. ... show more

  • Great RAM set; awful price GOUGING ISSUES (5 stars for RAM, 0 stars for pricing practice)
These RAM modules themselves are top performers. They run steady with every XMP profile. No overheating problems (tested on a GIGABYTE Z97X MoBo). Highly efficient heat sinks featuring quite cool & professional styling. Keep in mind that these modules with their rather tall heat sinks may interfere with some larger-sized CPU coolers, though. So, take careful measurements before installing this RAM kit. On a negative note that has nothing to do with the technical specs, this 2x8GB kit has exploded in price OVERNIGHT from ~$70 to ~$86 US. I needed to buy another 2x8GB kit in addition to an existing one. But, due to this price gouging nonsense, instead of buying this RAM kit from AMAZON, I bought it elsewhere for even less that $70 (new). Basically, screw those here who practices this kind of pricing policies till their threads wear out flat! Good day! ... show more

  • Good RAM - Horrible product distribution
My PC has 4 bays for RAM. I wanted 4 x 8GB sticks of this RAM. Authoritarian, dictatorship Amazon has decided us peasants can only purchase 2 sticks or we "exceed our purchase limit" on this item. The RAM itself clocks fast & the install was simple.... but honestly folks. If you cant even buy enough for a single PC - do you want it? I strongly suggest you look for RAM without a purchase limit. IMO it's ridiculous nonsense people cant buy 32GB of RAM.... ridiculous. It's ridiculous nonsense Amazon lords over purchases. ... show more

  • Brings life back to older PC
My PC is about 7 or 8 years old now with a 3rd generation I5. Started having a bit of trouble playing newer games, and PC freezing up. Purchased a new GPU last year but was considering starting a new build when I said let me just try to upgrade my 8gb of RAM before I do. I am very happy I did! PC runs very smooth. Loads faster. Games running at full screen 1080p no problem. Multiple applications open. Highly recommend! Asrock z77 extreme 4 motherboard automatically recognized xmp profile 1. Before giving up on your rig, give these a shot! ... show more
