  • A wonderful PSU, and Cheaper than comparable 1000w SFX-L PSU's on the Market!
Style: SF-L Size: 1000 Watts
The Many Good things: -Price point is great - there is no other SFX-L 1000-watt psu on the market for under $300 (at least at the time of writing). - PSU is powerful and is easily able to handle an overclocked PSU and overclocked GPU - even the most recent, newest GPU's are compatible like the 7900 xtx and 40-series cards (at least, at the time of writing)! - Its seriously super quiet. The Fan doesn't even need to turn itself on most of the time. That might be a problem for some but come on.... youve got an ITX build. You know its gonna run hotter than most build anyways. - Its got a TON of PCI-e connectors, all fully modular! That means that you've got many options for linking it up to that power-hungry graphics card you've been dreaming about. You can use one dedicated cable per power connector on your GPU. Im using an AMD 7900 xtx with three power connectors - each using their own dedicated cable! -Wires are NOT braided, but I think that this is actually a GOOD thing! Hear me out - Braiding equals unnecessary bulk and additional inflexibility, making wires harder to hide within the smallest of ITX build. The wires as well as connectors going into the PSU are super small, more flexible than competitor's PSU's and easy to route! The only BAD thing I encountered: I originally purchased this PSU with the intention on pairing it with the Phanteks Shift XT ITX Form Factor PC Chassis... but for some reason this was a bad combination. The Shift XT Chassis wasn't able to properly ground itself with this PSU. And as a result, any random contact with the Shift XT Chassis metal plating would result in a static shock and ZAAAP! The computer would turn itself off. This was fixed by changing the PC case from Phanteks Shift XT to a Lian Li A4-H20 - and I never experienced the issue ever again. ... show more

  • The gold standard for SFX power supplies
I have used SF750s in multiple builds across several years, and none of them have ever come up with an issue. They hold up fine to the voltage spikes present on higher end RTX 30-series GPUs, and despite the 750W rating on paper they perform fine up to ~900W for brief periods of time. Most of them do make an audible click when they reach a certain temp/power threshold, which is just the relay for the fan activating- but if you can hear this, then you can also be happy that your PC is nice and quiet. Fan noise is negligible. Corsair provides a full set of braided Type-4 cables with the PSU- note that this does not include a 12VHPWR for the latest Nvidia GPUs, but the adapter works alright (if not, Corsair sells a custom cable, or you can have one custom-made). Their cables are also shorter length to make cable management easier in SFF builds, and velcro cable ties are included as well. The SF750 I have now has been used with a 5900X/3080 Ti, 12900K/3090, as well as 5800X3D/4090 in a FormD T1 and has never had issues. QC and customer support are still leagues ahead of Cooler Master, and the SF750 has a proven track record. Unless you are willing to compromise and move up to an SFX-L sized power supply, the SF750 is still the best option for SFX-class PSUs on the market by far. The cases in which you need a 1500W power supply are few and far between. ... show more
