  • Good Memory for a Good Price
When I buy memory I try and get corsair when I can, seeing as they are a known/trusted brand. I have taken chances on unknown companies before with mixed results, and now I stick with the brand that has never given me problems. At the time that I bought this the price was absolutely right for the amount of memory you got, although now it is a tad higher for whatever reason, but its still a good deal. If you are looking to up the memory in your computer this is a good way to do it, don't fall for the gimmicky heat spreaders and fancy colors some companies use on their ram, its useless. All you need is a quality brand that makes a quality product, and this memory succeeds on both counts! ... show more

  • Value at its finest.
I have had excellent experiences with the Corsair ValueSelect. For the price they can't be beaten. I now have the ValueSelect modules in most of my computers. A lot of RAM from other companies have failed early, while these are running strong. The 2x4GB sticks is all you need to make your computer happy. According to the Windows Experience these two sticks provide a 6.9 out of 7.4 in the memory category. I assume the only way to close that half a point gap is to purchase the more expensive version of Windows that unlocks support for more RAM and have 16 or 32GB, but whatever you are doing that requires that much RAM you should be doing on a Mac. For gaming 8GB is enough. No more using the page file cache. ... show more

  • Good price
The RAM was delivered a day early (thanks Amazon). Both DIMMS were recognized properly and passed the initial RAM stress tests. I've had success with Corsair RAM in my Macbook Pros with not issues on either box. The oldest Macbook has been handed down to the kids and the RAM is still functioning after 4 years of use. I'm a heavy user (Photoshop, games, Fusion) and am looking forward to heavy duty use of this RAM in my Optiplex 790DT. ... show more

  • Basic RAM from a reputable company
I bought this as Corsair is a name you recognize for many years. They have made quality products for years. However, one complaint about this. They put a sticker across this ram that is unnecessary. I think they had a quality worker asleep on this batch. Other than that...good ram and has not had any issues. I installed this in my son's pc and he games as well with it. ... show more

  • Running fine in HP N40L MicroServer
Installed these 2 DIMMs (CMV8GX3M1A1333C9 = 2 x CMV4GX3M1A1333C9) in an HP N40L MicroServer to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB (i.e. replacing both existing 2GB DIMMs). The system automatically detected the new DIMMs and set them to 6-6-6-15 clocks (i.e. due to the system's slow memory frequency). They have been running 24x7 without issue for 30 days now. ... show more

  • Having problems with this RAM I'm receiving
I'm almost certain, the packaging/delivery method damaged the RAM. I received two different orders now after returning both and I'm trying for a 3rd. It's like trying to get your wife pregnant after 2 or 3 times or trying to have a 3rd child. The first set I received had 16 - 256 modules, which is double sided stick of RAM, which is what I prefer and it works. The 16 - 256 sticks of RAM worked..the system booted up fine. But there were errors stated by a test and the result was that the system locked up while playing a video game. The second set I received, each stick had 8 - 512 mb modules on it, which is one sided stick of RAM, which did not even allow the system to boot, it turned on but it did not boot or even show bios. How weird is it to get the amount of ram you wanted, but didn't get any good RAM that worked? ... show more

  • Great
Good product. I recently built my own computer and I chose this ram because it was cheap and seems to do its part well. I have it on an Asrock micro ATX motherboard. I am using vista home premium 64bit (i know i would like 7 too), intel core i5-3470, Radeon HD7850, and these 8 GBs of ram. with this set up, I can run Battle Field 3 on ULTRA with about 55-65FPS constantly, even in Multiplayer in large maps ... show more
