I have made tea (with bags) and coffee. Perfect and easy to clean. Sturdy glass and fits nicely on the fridge door. The only negative is that you have to remove the lid to pour- but I suppose this keeps the flavor in tact and is a positive! Would buy again.

Not sure how to look up and amend my original review - at first I was somewhat skeptical about the longevity of the metal filter. I purchased two of these which I use several times per week to brew tea and cold-brew coffee. Still like new and now quality issues whatsoever (unlike a competing brand which I purchased afterward and have had to replace the filter once. Very pleased. Excellent size and excellent quality.     • Terrific cold brewer!
Highly recommend. Easier to use than my last cold Brewer, tight seal and easy to clean. Space saving design that fits well in my refrigerator. The only thing it is missing is a silicone base to protect the glass on the bottom. If it had that I would have given it five stars!

I used this just one time and got several glasses of ice coffee from it. After cleaning it and assembling it for storage, the filter dropped into the pitcher. The lip at the top of the filter is supposed to be wide enough to prevent it from going down into the pitcher. Apparently not wide enough, it went in but it won't come out. I tried running the pitcher under hot water to widen the opening, but the filter lip allowed it to go in, but there is NO WAY to grab it to pull it out. The unit is basically useless now. What a waste of money, time and effort. I'll go back to making regular coffee and cooling it down to make my iced coffee. MUCH LESS HASSLE, COST AND EFFORT. 09/06/18 UPDATE - I heard from the seller - "Thanks for choosing our cold brew coffee maker and sorry to hear about this issue. The glass is hand made and sometimes could have the wrong tolerance. I will arrange for a replacement first thing Tuesday morning." I apologize for the inconvenience - Lauren" I received the new brewer as promised and I definitely noticed the inner lip of the opening a bit thicker than the original one I had. I am still going to make my iced coffee from my regular brewed coffee, as I find it easier, but the brewer and company are first rate and my 5 stars are for the brewer design actually working well, despite my decision to go back to my regular way of making iced coffee. ... show more

    • Perfect, Beautiful piece of kitchenware!
This is a beautiful piece of kitchenware! It makes me think of chemistry class and the expensive beakers we used. This is high quality glass, a very nice stainless steel filter, nice lid too. All quality and all health safe materials. I make herb tea in it and then store it in the refrigerator. Fits nicely in the door as they state and tolerates the change in temperature (although I do let it cool down or warm up between batches of tea). If I were to make one change it would be to allow pouring with the filter in place. But the filter fits nicely in the inside of the lid while I pour the tea so it is not a big deal. I suppose many people would remove the filter once their beverage is made. The lid fits snugly on the glass to seal in the flavor. I looked all over at retail shops for something like this and never ran across anything as nice. And when I did see something close it was 2-3 times more money. I may buy another for me, it makes a great gift for cold brew coffee or tea. ... show more

    • Great Cold Brew Coffee Maker!
I now live in an area where it’s septic systems only, meaning an abundance of caution with managing food cleanup so it doesn’t go down the drain. Coffee grounds are one of those things. I started cold brewing coffee about a year ago - much easier to manage a large amount of grounds every 5-7 days than a daily french press. I had another cold brew system, where the griunds went directly into the pitcher, and you had to stir and stir and stir the grounds to ensure they stayed saturated for brewing purposes (otherwise they float to the surface, resulting in weaker coffee). That pitcher got broken, and I ordered this one. BIG improvement - no grounds get into the resulting coffee. I use a Capresso burr grinder on the coarsest setting, fill the hopper, then add water to the max line, and let it steep for 24-36 hours. Great coffee - I use about 3-4 oz per 16 oz cup, add hot water and cream. Very nice, quick and easy. Husband likes it, too. The resulting coffee is quite good, no bitterness. ... show more

I was going to use this for iced coffee, it’s great for that, but I mostly use this at the biggest cup in my house for when I want lots of water. And it has a handle!

    • Works very well for cold brew!
I love this design, the filter takes the ground coffee and stays for 24+ plus and it removed after brewing leaving a very nice flavor. The glass is easy to use and easy to clean, perfect for cold coffee, I haven’t tried tea but I am sure it would work great for it as well.
