I was apprehensive about this, but everything about it seems quite good. It's plastic and aluminum, with very light steel tines. What would you expect today for the price? It accepts Dewalt batteries easily, and performs surprisingly well. I used it to remix the garlic beds and work in the mulch I had left during the growing season. We'll see how it lasts. This has nothing to do with the product, rather than the poor quality of delivery service. I would like to make you aware of some problems I have had with USPS deliveries. The most common, and frequent, is my packages have been delivered to another home on a different road that has the same number. I live at 1176 Upland Dr. The packages are frequently left at 1176 Gooby Rd. The mail carrier passes my house first, and takes the package to the other address. Recently I received an email at 11:22 on 8/4 stating that the mail carrier was unable to leave the box because the mail box was full. The mail is never delivered to us before 5 or 6 pm on Mondays. The mail carrier always brings boxes to our door when too big for the mail box, so the message made no sense. I called the post office and was told that the package was in fact at the Post Office. I went to pick it up and the counter person said the mail carriers often send that message when they have too many packages in their vehicle. I took the package home and the next day the mail carrier left a form telling me that I needed to go to the PO and pick up the package (same package as I already picked up). I realize Amazon cannot regulate the quality or the integrity of the USPS, but perhaps Amazon could consider sending more larger packages by another service, such as Fed-Ex or UPS. We almost never have problems with UPS, and have few problems with Fed-Ex. Thank you for your consideration of this.

I'm impressed... Let's be real, it's a battery powered hand held cultivator. It is not a PTO powered 3pt tractor implement.... But, if you put a 9Ah battery on it, and are in dry dirt, this lil dude will get the job done. I put in a 2ft by 40 ft raised garden and used this tiller to incorporate the lower soils with some that I brought in, (and there is a lot of clay in my soil) so when it's wet, it's a sticky mess... wouldn't matter what tool you tried to use, but when it drys out and can break apart, rather than smoosh and gum up the works, this lil guy was just about perfect. This thing does not like long fibrous things like roots or long grass, they will get all wrapped up on the tines, so at first I spent some time cutting roots loose... but once the roots are gone, if you go slow, and please understand this is one of those "thousands of small movements rather then a few big ones" kinda tools... you'll find it does a fine job... I've run probably 8 or 9 full 9Ah batteries through this lil guy so far. it's not big and heavy, there's no gas to go bad or spill, it's quiet, and my wife can grab it and use it any time with no start rope to pull.... for what I paid, I feel like I got a good deal on this one.... if there was one real negative, design wise that is, it'd be the mechanical connections between the motor head, the mid shaft, and the handle... I find that a couple times per battery, I've had to retighten the screw sleeves that holds the parts of the handle/shaft together. It didn't seem to effect the functionality of the machine, but in time, I fear that this will be the failure point as this movement of this joint will effect the electrical connections inside.

This worked well with my existing DeWalt batteries. Wanted something to help turn the soil in my garden. This was easy to assemble and operate. Battery life isn't exceptional but it is powerful so I'd rather have the power than a long battery usage. It dug into the soil and tore out the weeds.

I was very skeptical about the quality and effectiveness of this product prior to placing the order, but wow it’s an absolute game changer. I’m replacing a brick sidewalk and I have to remove 6” of of grass, topsoil, rocky soil, and clay. There’s also base layer rock to remove from the previous installation, and I dug up concrete and many tree roots as a bonus. I spent about four hours with this tool and it handled everything I threw at it. It worked so much better than I anticipated, and it turned a really crappy job into one that I actually enjoyed. The tool is also made much better than I expected. Based on today’s abuse I believe it will last many years. It also worked perfectly with my 60v DeWalt flexvolt packs which supply 60v/20v depending on the tool it’s connected to, in this case 20v. I’m the type of person who can find flaws in nearly everything I buy, but this tool needs no mods at all. It just works, which is very rare these days.

Absolutely amazing! True, you must walk backwards but its highly maneuverable. Powerful; I used it in areas with a network of roots, and it tore right through them. It creates even deep trenches with loose soil. I use a Dewalt 60V battery and lasts 4+ hours without having to replace the battery. Highly recommended for light garden tilling.

This cultivator is perfect! Does a great job of breaking up the soil in to a finer silt. Very lightweight and batteries from my cordless dewalt system work flawlessly. I don't think it will till new soil, it's not that aggressive, but great for refining soil for planting a garden.

The motor is surprisingly a beast hence the 4 stars... However the handle is flimsy. Will definitely get the job done but I see the handle giving out with regular use.
