Excellent snow shovel for cleaning snow up around the house. I used in the past a plug-in Toro snow shovel and it was extremely heavy to use and the cord was a pain in the winter time dragging around in the snow and I ended up giving it away. I did miss the ability to remove snow quickly without having to lift and throw the snow. This 20V snow shovel packs enough power to clean decks, walkways, and in our case, areas around our horse barn (sliding doors, gates, water troughs, etc.). The freedom of not having a cord alone makes this more productive and expands the areas we can cover. My petite wife is comfortable using it as compared to my old Toro unit that I was the sole delegated user :-). You do need to provide your own 20V DeWalt battery, which in my case I have other DeWalt cordless products. I have had no issue with any of the size DeWalt batteries I own working in this unit. I always appreciate when others include pictures so I am doing the same so you can see the product features prior to purchase. It comes well packaged, and it took me all of 3 minutes to pull out and put together. You can see there are 3 segments (power head, middle extension and handle). All screw together quickly with the prongs that plug in when you push and screw the sections together. There are grooves which help you align correctly which you can see in the pictures. Finally the head is made of durable ABS plastic and the motor is definitely strong enough to throw the snow conveniently where you need it. I was surprised as to how smooth and quiet the unit is when running as compared to the grinding and squealing of my old Toro unit. I recommend this unit for those looking for a lightweight unit that can power through the snow and don't want to be dragging a cord around. By the way it is rated for 6 inches of light snow, but given how light the unit is, if you get deeper show, you can take it in layers and it works well with multiple passes. Hope this helps.

Right out of the gate, this is awesome! Quality is pretty good - the handle for the off hand could be a little more sturdy for doing some more of the heavy duty work, but its not bad. Super easy to use, definitely worth the money, its light enough that even my 9 year old could use if he wanted to. But the best of all is the functionality.... Everyone whom I told I purchased this said "yeah that will probably work okay for a light dusting, but not a heavy snow like what we just got" or "if you want it to be effective, you will have to be out in the storm every 30 minutes cleaning your deck off with that thing before the snow sticks" but BOY were they wrong! I purchased this right after we got a heavy 8+ inches of snow. Then it froze real good a few times, and I just walked across my deck without shoveling off more than the stairs (shovel is still on the deck by the stairs lol), which walking on the deck just packed the snow further more. Nearly 6 days after the first appearance of this snow, my electric shovel arrived. I decided to test it out right away. Where the snow wasn't packed down from walking on, it took it all up with ease! Where it was packed down, I just had to put a LITTLE elbow grease into it (not much though) and it chipped away at the packed snow/ice on the deck like it was nothing! I probably would have expended more energy to shovel a light powder with a regular shovel than I had to use to get this 8+ inches of packed snow and ice off the deck. Don't believe me? Look at the picture, I left a portion on the deck for comparison!

The media could not be loaded. This thing is tiny but mighty. Bought it for my husband so he doesn’t have to break his back on the stairs and back patio, and he was so excited to try it. Well we got 8 inches of snow last night and he ran out this morning with this. It did amazing, and threw the snow very far. it’s easy to use and light weight, so anyone can use it. It’s worth every penny. Now we will see how it holds up this winter.

I was pleasantly surprised by the size and power of this unit. Once I put it together, which took about 2 minutes, I tested it out dry. The unit was easy to hold and handle while the motor was very quiet. This week I was able to try it out on some slush, which really is what it is meant to move. When it threw the slush I was impressed that it was actually thrown a good distance. I am looking forward to using it with snow. It is well suited for my composite deck as the base is plastic and didn’t scratch like a metal shovel. Great tool for the elderly who cannot lift a shovel or push a snow blower. Will update once I use it in the snow.

I just had HEINPRO cordless snow shovel delivered. Came in 3 main pieces. Poles (2pieces), very easy attaches to each other by pushing in to connect and secure it by screwing clockwise joint fixing knobs, then the same way connect to the lower pole assembly. Auxillary handle is attached to upper pole for easy angle to a comfortable position. DeWalt battery is attached to bottom of the handle and snug very easy. Tigger is secured by safety switch. Motor is not too noisy after starting, and all shovel with battery attached is not too heavy. I can't wait to see how it perform on snow. So far my impression is very good. Tool look solid and I can wait to try it on first snow.

I am shocked at how well this little machine works, but then again, DeWalt has never failed me. As a female it is light weight and makes it much easier to shovel the snow without breaking my back.

Worked ok on the first snow day, when we only got about 2” of snow. We used this shovel to clean our sidewalk from detached garage to the house. When it dumped 5” on us the following night, the shovel struggled to clean all that snow.
