So far I've used it for about 3 snow falls. Or's been fairly light snow so I cannot say how it will working heavier snow but so far it's been a back saver as I have major back issues from a car accident years ago so shoveling and maneuvering our big clunky snowblower isn't the easiest scenario. We have a single car driveway so I thus far have been able to get it done with one battery's worth of charge. It's not heavy and goes thru snow pretty easily. (We had a good 5 inches this AM.) If I had a bigger driveway I'd want a wider one but for our driveway and side walk it's pretty perfect. I'm hoping it holds up and doesn't disappoint because I'm happy so far! ... show more

Never seen anything like this before, so decided to give it a try for clearing light snowfalls in small areas like sidewalks and small patios. Been waiting for a snowfall and finally one came but only about 1". So couldn't wait any longer and gave it a try. 1" was no problem but I didn't expect it to be. Piled some snow up about 3" and it laughed at that too. But there's one thing. I don't have smooth hardscape surfaces around my house. I have pavers. And for those who don't know what pavers are, think hand laid bricks. The scraper on the bottom would catch on an edge of a paver, but to eliminate that I would tilt the sweeper back towards me. Worked nicely on light weight snow but only worked 3 times. Now won't turn on even with fresh battery. Unfortunately have to return it.

    • Solid work horse for small drives, patios, sidewalks.
Pros: way faster than a regular snow shovel. Battery lasts long enough to take care of a small drive, sidewalk, and patio on a single 20v charge. Reminder: Battery does NOT come with the device. You'll have to purchase one separately (not inexpensive) or have obtained one from another Dewalt purchase. Cons - Grass and small rocks sound horrible when it hits those. Not recommended for those who have gravel driveways. Not wheels or decent guides. Bit heavy to carry around and will fatigue your arms if you use it for a while. Not a long enough handle, causes you to stoop. Overall, I recommend adding this to your dewalt collection. It's handled itself pretty well through a good sized snow storm (8 inches) and then a follow up (2 inches). I recommend keeping it assembled after initial assembly because the power pins in the handle are quite small and it wouldn't take much to bend or snap one off during multiple times of disassembly/reassembly. ... show more

This product does the job.I bought it for my husband who has experienced back, neck and shoulder pain from shoveling snow in the past. He loves this shovel and is not having any pain. Works great in with a few inches of snow. However, when receiving over 10 inches of snow, he found that he needed to remove the snow in layers. This shovel also blows the snow away a good 15 feet. Works well. Only issue is you can’t adjust the height. So it scraped the wood on our deck.

    • Worth the money
For the size and price, this works very well. It is only good for smaller areas due to the small width of the shovel but, handled 4"+ of snow without issue. Lasted quite a while on 4ah batteries.

The brought is very good. Not being a brand name. Dewalt batteries fit. It is light weight and can be operated by anyone. snow blows great and even handles up to 8 inches of snow
