    • Simple installation - follow the directions and you'll be fine

Install is simple. You'll need a drill and a screwdriver - whatever works for you. You have to assure that the clips are installed parallel to each other and then, once installed, the shade just snaps into the clips quite securely. I made a small spacer that I used when installing them to make it easier for me to be sure they were correctly placed. It took me about 10-12 minutes per shade to install them. Maybe less. No problem with the functionality at all Only 4 stars because during the packing of the shades, not by Amazon but by the manufacturer, they put a small piece of foam in the shade itself and I'm guessing that's to protect the shade from the little handle that's already installed. However, what it does is mar the shade itself. It's not too back but it's noticeable. I'm hoping those defects fade once the shade is installed and used over time. It wasn't enough for me to return them, but it was a concern. ... show more

I bought this type of shade vs the accordion style because my cats kept trying to climb them and destroyed them. So far the have not tried to climb or move them to see out when closed. Happy with the quality for the price. Will be ordering three more for my bedroom.
