This is a very nice blinds, it blocks the view and most of the sunlight. We installed it in our bathroom, so it's important for the blinds to have the blocking features. Since we only have one window in this bathroom, it's good that the blinds allow some light filtered through. It's very easy to roll it up and down because the push-pull mechanism works well. Took about 10 minutes to install. I cannot tell by just looking at it if the UV-block coating and thermal insulation are working, let's hope it does. The Amazon package box came broken, but the blinds box is very thick, solid and was intact, everything was well wrapped and packed. I think this blinds is worth the price.

I've been looking for a replacement for my old blackout roller shades. These looked promising, so I picked one up to test. Unfortunately, it's not what I had hoped for so I wont be getting the second shade. I purposely took my photo on a bright sunny day to show the difference between this shade (on the left) and a true blackout roller (right). You can clearly see that this shade let's in A TON of light. So if you are looking for complete darkness, this isn't for you. If you are ok with some light, then proceed. ☆These are lightweight and really easy to install. If you screw the brackets in, you don't have to worry about spacing them perfect because they will attach anywhere on the back of the shade. These also come with pieces that allow you to hang the shade from your curtain rod, no screws or holes necessary! ☆The shade does have smooth, quiet movement (they would be Nadine, from Twin Peaks approved). They aren't jerky and don't get stuck. I like the fact these have a telescoping puller. It comes in handy when you don't want to get out of bed to close the shade. •The fabric panel is really cheap, flimsy polyester. It creases easy, the edge is raw, so it will start to unravel over time. It also feels very rough. This isn't a high quality window treatment at all. •The bracket is just cheap plastic. It reminds me of the hollow plastic kids toys are made of. •Don't get me wrong, this isn't a terrible shade but it also isn't the best. I would say it is a good budget option, but the price is way too high to call it 'bugdet'. I'm not sure I can recommend these for that reason. There's nothing to this shade and what is there is worth maybe half of the asking price.
