I recently gifted this gardening tool to my dad for his kitchen garden, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how much he loves it. He’s always been passionate about gardening and used to prepare the land entirely by hand — a process that would take him the entire day and leave him exhausted. When I came across this tool, I knew it would make things easier for him, but I didn’t expect it to be such a nice addition to his kitchen tools. When you first start using it, it works like a dream: the battery life is good, and the power to till up even well compacted soil is there, but after a short while it starts to come apart at the connection in the middle. Back story.... I bought the unit and put it through the paces. I mean I used it a lot and everywhere in my garden. I was in love with this thing. About 2 weeks into my use, it started to come apart at the middle connection. I had to tighten it more and more frequently. It got to the point where it would come apart in 10 seconds of use. I returned it, and thinking that hey maybe it's just a defective unit, I ordered a replacement. To my disappointment, the new unit started to fall apart even sooner and after less use. (it's been raining, no way to work outside) Like I said, it works great at first, until it starts to fall apart. The plastic connector is a cheap, and poorly designed part. I am returning the second unit as we speak.

I just got the tiller on April 14th. I used it quickly for a few minutes and was happy with the product's performance. As we had much rain in the last few weeks, I was only able to use it this last weekend of mid-May to till the soil so that I could finish planting my vegetables in my raised garden beds. The soil is already soft and I added peat moss and more garden soil, then mixed with the tiller. So there were no stones or rough soil to address. The bottom of the tiller is heavy and the pole in the middle where you assemble and screw together started bending. These parts are plastic and can't handle the weight of the tiller. I only used it a total of 40 minutes with 5-minutes for each raised bed. The other similar ones have the same connector style. Too cheap to keep the pole long and ship a longer box to the US.
