This little tiller works great! Batteries comes half way charged. They do take a full hour if not a little more to fully charge when you run it dead. The battery does run down faster if you are trying to cut through a bunch of weeds. I have a yard full of very well established creeping Charlie which should be call running Charlie. The batteries did run down quicker. I did have to clear out the vines from around the tines a bunch but it was worth it for me. Easy to handle. This saved my back and it is a great value for the money. Durable little machine. Pretty lightweight. Will also use this to turn my compost bed and to keep an edge tilled around the garden to help combat the creeping Charlie.

My wife has several raised garden beds and was tired of preparing them with a shovel and a rack. She said she would really like one of these, so I bought her one. She really likes it. She is just over 5 ft tall, pretty slim, and in her 70's. Installation was easy but also not straight forward. As she was a big garden with several raised beds, I take tiller out to her, put it in the garden bed and she tills away. Did a great job, breaks up the soil nicely and I got some positive points.

Should you expect the same power and speed of work you would get with a gas machine? No. But, does this do exactly what I wanted it to do? Yes. I wish the battery lasted a bit longer, but I got a respectable amount of work done with one battery charge. With both charged I would have been able to get twice as much done. I also went slow and went over the area multiple times for a nice depth. I also wish the handle was a bit longer due to the fact that I’m tall and I could feel a bit of strain to my lower back from bending while working. The area I’m tilling has not had the ground broken on it for a couple years, but it was a garden plot a couple years ago. So while the ground isn’t rock solid, it is still pretty compacted. I moved to a large raised bed instead of an in ground garden plot, but I have some things that won’t fit in my raised bed, so I needed a tiller for the areas I will be planting outside of the raised bed, and I wanted something easier to use and less costly than a new gas tiller. This was simple to assemble and simple to use. It’s also quiet, which I enjoy. So far, I am pleased with this tiller. I will update my review if that changes.

Small but mighty. When it came out of the box I was sending a mistake. The nine inch width meant it would take a long time to till my 15x20 plot. Assembly was easy. The main shaft screws together and the tines are held in place with a round kotter pin that fits over the shaft. Assembly took about 10 minutes. I had charged the batteries over night so I was ready to go. And when I turned it on I immediately knew it had the power to get the job done. Note I was not breaking new ground. Just tilling up my garden bed. It handled the job easily. You will get 20 minutes of full blast work out of the battery. So once one went out I loaded the next and put the first one on the charger. It won’t charge inside of the time the next one runs out but after 40 minutes you will want a rest! So once I finished that job I thought “let us see if it can break some soil. I want a wildflower bed and I had the spot. Sure enough it was able to get through a good three inches of Georgia clay. Hit a couple of rocks and dug them out. Okay, anything bad about it? So far not yet. The tines are easy to clean. Just pop off the kotter pin and clean out the debris that wraps around the tines. It’s lightweight but the motor packs a good punch. Heck for $109 it was worth the shot and it paid off. Hopefully it will last!

I got this cordless tiller as a gift for my uncle, who loves working in his garden but was getting tired of using hand tools for everything. He was pretty happy with it right away. It’s lightweight and easy to move around, which is great since he doesn’t want to deal with anything too heavy or complicated. The battery power makes it even better, no cords or gas to mess with. It comes with two batteries and a charger, so he can swap one out if it runs low while he’s working. He said it handles small to medium garden beds just fine, and the 9-inch width covers a decent area without being hard to control. The steel tines dig into the soil well, even in spots that were a little compacted. It saves him a lot of time compared to doing everything by hand. There are a couple small things to know. It’s not meant for big, rocky areas or super hard-packed ground—it does best in already worked soil or lighter jobs. Also, it’s a bit loud for the size, but nothing crazy. Overall, it turned out to be a great gift. It’s easy to use, doesn’t take up much space, and helps him get more done in the garden without wearing himself out. Perfect for someone who enjoys gardening but wants something simple and cordless to make the job easier.

Works very good! It had lots of power and digs down good on dry ground using with a little force applied. Chops the dirt clumps up into smaller pieces when you go back over the previously chopped areas. The battery lasts a long time too!
