Something to firstly note. Some people may immediately see this tool and think it would fit the Dewalt type battery packs, it does not. The batteries are wider stanced, and also feature both a 5mm(or so) jack port to charge or the provided slide lock battery charger as typical with modern cordless battery tools. Moving onto the package, for the price point this is an excellent package for a cordless angle grinder tool set. Coming with two batteries, a charger, a variety of multi-work blades to fit the grinder for polishing, cutting, or shaping metal. There is a guard that is easy to install and remove with a provided screw driver, it does also come with a typical grinder blade removal tool thats seperate. It also comes with a carrying case, which is a bit small and the tool needs to be taken down to No-handle or battery to fit with everything, but its a nice inclusion to contain it all. The tool itself has a decent construction. The plastic feels a little hollow, the head is some sort of cast metal but isnt the most dense. It feels lighter than main brand angle grinder tools. There is some interesting premium features that really stand out. The handle and neck are free turning with a push of the button, making cuts or grinds more comfortable by allowing you to turn the position your hand is in while holding the trigger. It also features a power intensity button in the base where the battery comes in, which allows for some control over the tools use of the torque / speed. The blades or discs that come with are decent aftermarket, they do the trick out of the box, not premium but will do the job for sure, they last me long enough for smaller projects a few times over. The tool itself is very typical of cordless grinders, for the price its a great alternative, Makelift makes some unique cordless tools at an affordable price, making them a unique value for those looking for a quick pickup with premium features. It pays for itself very quickly.

The Makelift 21V cordless angle grinder is a solid budget-friendly option for DIYers and light to medium home projects. I picked it up primarily because I already have some compatible 21V batteries (it works with Makita-style 18V/21V packs), and I wanted something portable without cords for occasional metal cutting, grinding rust off parts, and small fabrication tasks around the garage. Pros: The brushless motor runs surprisingly smooth and delivers decent power for its class—I've cut through 1/8" steel plate and thin angle iron without bogging down too much at full speed (around 9000 RPM). It handles grinding and polishing well too. Variable speed or multiple settings (depending on the exact model variant) give good control for different materials, preventing over-aggression on softer stuff like aluminum or wood prep. Comes with useful accessories in many kits (extra discs, batteries if included, side handle, guard, and wrench), which saves hassle right out of the box. Lightweight and balanced enough for extended use without excessive fatigue—great for one-handed operation in tight spots. Excellent value; it punches above its price point compared to big-name brands for non-professional use. Cons: It doesn't match the raw torque or runtime of premium 20V/40V pro tools (like DeWalt or Makita equivalents), so heavy-duty or all-day jobs will drain the battery faster or feel underpowered on thicker stock. Build quality feels a bit more "consumer-grade"—the guard adjustment and accessory mounting are functional but not as refined or durable as higher-end models. This is a handy portable tool that allows you to do quick jobs where you have no power - and where a more robust tool isn't really needed. I got this for our farm - we always have small projects/repairs out in a field, barn or outbuilding, or even the chicken coop - none of which have power to them. I gave this 5 stars for a few reasons, and I think if you realize that this is not meant to replace the robust, more sophisticated grinder kit, you'll see why it deserves that. This tool is comfortable to use and easy to complete a small fix or repair when there is no power. The 2 batteries make it quite possible to do many small jobs where there is no power, and the carry case makes it easy to have anything you might need right in the bag - provided yo take the grinder apart first - it does not really fit if everything is attached. It is light-weight and has good maneuverability. You can easily control the speed with the push of a button. You can use your regular grinder blades and those included are not horrible - especially for those small jobs you'll be using this for. Overall I find this to be a nice addition to our farm repair tools. As long as you understand that this is meant as a supplement to your larger set, and you don't expect it to do what that one can do, you will really be able to appreciate having it - much the same way as having a battery operated mini-chain saw. Small jobs don't need big tools in order to get completed. This little grinder kit is well worth the price and makes me not hate having to haul extension cords around when I need to do a small job in one of the fields. I would buy this - or another like it - again, as it has already saved me a lot of time.
