This is my first angle grinder and I quickly realized it’s designed more for lighter tasks than heavy-duty work. I bought it mainly to speed up sanding and make small cuts around the house, and for those purposes it works well. I used it to remove old paint and rust from a solid steel backyard gate and it handled that job without trouble, running off and on for over an hour. That said, I don’t think it’s intended for major cutting tasks like thick steel pipe or continuous heavy use. It feels comfortable in the hands and so far I haven’t experienced any of the issues some reviewers mentioned. Overall, for household projects and occasional DIY use it does the job nicely. If you need something for constant heavy-duty work, you’ll probably want a more powerful tool. ... show more
