I bought this brace for my dad who suffers from sciatica and his foot had been bothering him as his sciatica has been causing his foot to tingle. He wore it immediately when he received it and put it on in again in the morning. He LOVES it and it feels so comfortable on. The tingling in his foot has stopped, not completely, but enough to allow him to go one about his day without extreme discomfort. I noticed a lot of people are complaining about the for. The media could not be loaded. Comfortable when sitting at normal height. No hot spots. Soft but durable neoprene. Easy to do physiotherapy in at home. Took the sensation of skin tingle or “falling asleep” or “nerves firing” sensation away immediately. I put a silicone tape over my incision about 14 days after surgery and felt like my wound was just tingling from nerve regeneration a bit. Unnoticeable immediately after this copper thingy went on and so when it arrived I had it on ever since except for showering. I can do some palpating and light massage and sleep with this on - I can even use the toilet without it interfering and it feels perfect on my skin protecting me against cold hard toilet seats, edges, possible bacteria, doesn’t snag my silicone tape barrier on the inside and keeps me from snagging my new healed skin on something that doesn’t smooth me. The item is made of neoprene. As only a scuba diver would know, all wetsuits are made out of thick neoprene to keep the driver warm in cold weather or on deep dives. Although a great idea lies behind the premise of this device, the neoprene lacks the thickness to properly support the hip joint. It gave me the idea to stop off at a diver’s direct center to try on a few wetsuits. The tighter, thicker, neoprene worked! I purchased an on-sale shorty wetsuit and had my seamstress cut it off under my breast and at mid-thigh length. Tried and tested, it works for double hip bone-on-bone and better stabilizes an osteoporosis condition. Note: if suffering from the latter, you may need assistance pulling it up and/or rolling it off. Tighter compression via thicker neoprene works! ... show more
