My husband walks on concrete floors at work, like a lot of people who work on their feet. Recently he's been having knee pain in one knee, so this brace looked like it might help. It does decrease the pain somewhat, but isn't a complete solution. I took off a star for that. The positives are that it's a compression sleeve, so not complicated to put on and take off. It's flexible so doesn't constrict the knee when walking or using steps. The strap is elastic with Velcro ends so can be positioned where support is most needed, and if that doesn't work well, can be re-positioned. My husband said after awhile he didn't notice he was wearing it. Even if it reduced his pain level a small amount, he said any pain relief was welcome and he'll continue to wear the brace. ... show more

The design choice of this knee brace is interesting. In my opinion, it helps center the knee brace on my leg. The whole thing hugs you gently, like a knit skirt or dress. Does not come with any instructions, just a knee compression sleeves in a bag. Had to read the product page to figure out how to use the straps. Runs a little small as well, even XL size was a bit tight and my measurement is 19. Once I managed to get this on, it gave good compression to the knees.

According to the size these should have fit but sadly they do not...that said I am not proportionate, my thigh is almost 3 times the size of my knee, this is where most of my weight is at. That said these fit better than most, I got them on but took about 2 steps and even with the straps they started sliding and rolling off. They seems nice enough and well built, soft to the touch and a good amount of compression. But they, like all things, are not made for plus sized women that aren't proportionately sized. ... show more

My measurement is 19”, I got the Large. The brace itself is not tight, the compression comes from the band, depending on how tight you wind it. The hook parts of the band will even grab onto the brace material (causes fuzz ball though), so you can lessen the compression. You can also use it without the band.
