Unable to run all units. One unit has leak in coils. Now I have to videotape leak test. That means another cost. Already out $650.00 of none reimbursed money and can expect Additional cost to replace unit even if company sends new indoor unit.

So far it's been 1 Winter and a Summer, so far so good. The electric bill went up by 90 dollars but there's many variables, so take this as a grain of salt. I kept it on for most of the Summer at 74-75 degrees on turbo when i first power it up, then I drop it to 70% and it cools the entire 2nd floor, very comfortable. Now, as for the Winter well the heat pump works well, until the outside temp drops to 15 degrees. When that happens, it sometimes goes into defrost mode. The electric bill went up by at least 120 dollars but that's straight through the night and a weekend. Again there's many variables but overall I would say it's been a positive experience. I installed this myself so if you're technically inclined and patient then it should take at least 1 day to install 2 units and the electrical, and a 2nd day to work on the condenser, vacuum and check for leaks. You may also need to purchase a tank to check for leaks, oh and I would recommend purchasing a flair tool, so you can shorten the copper lines. I don't know why the phone app received 3 stars but for me it does exactly what it's entitled to do and works well. I turn it on before I get home. Sometimes, I leave in a rush and forget to power off, so I turn it off remotely via the phone app. Don't forget to install the USB dongle that comes with the units. I'm planning on purchasing the 9,9,9K with the condenser for the other 3 bedrooms. Currently I have the 9,12,12K. Good investment but shop around I'm sure you can find better and most importantly be sure to look for good seer ratings this one is very good at 24.6--The 24.6 SEER2 rating means that the system is highly energy-efficient, as a higher SEER2 number indicates better energy efficiency. Compared to older systems with lower SEER ratings, a 24.6 SEER2 unit will consume less energy to provide the same level of cooling, which can result in lower energy bills. Btw I'm not a technician in any way and I managed to install this myself with no issues just a daily dose of you-tube videos for at least 1 week, self taught and I saved thousands from having one of these HVAC companies installing it. Oh and customer service and their technical hotline is phenomenal I mean they're there to answer any of your questions. Long Island NY. ... show more
