No more in and out with window air conditioners. No more wood splitting or pellets. Still have to see how it does over the winter, but so far it is great. No more noise from window air conditioners. Cannot even hear the fan on the indoor units. Unit cost less than a tank of fuel oil. Even though there is no warranty because I installed it myself, it will be worth while to get a new one after a few years if it doesn’t last. They say it will go 10 years. That will be great if it does. Did get an aftermarket warranty through Amazon. Thanks Amazon!

Love my Split System

I put one unit in my bedroom and one in my large family room. All I can say is that the large one in my family room cools or heats up to 3 rooms. I have a large family and at the farthest room was asked if I could change the temp because they were getting cool. Works great. As far as installation, I had to hire an electrician to add 220 to my circuit box and run the line up to the outside unit. For some reason more freon had to be added, so he called a friend of his to come check and charge it. The unit finally worked well.

Air Conditioners Disappoint

We bought 3 compressors and 4 of the wall units. (1) dual zone 9,000/12,000 btu, (1) dual zone 12,000/18000 (1)24,000 btu. We were so happy for 5 years. All of a sudden everyone of the acs went out. One compressor, 1 compressor coil, fan motor. We replaced one compressor and of course we had to add Freon. The compressor lasted for 2 months. Now they tell us they don't warranty the new compressor because they don't warranty parts. They can't repair condenser coil so now we have to buy a new compressor for that unit. I've spent approximately $4,000 in repairs and they still aren't working. They have to be professionally cleaned every 6 months to the tune of $400 because they have to disassemble the unit. I DO NOT recommend purchasing these units. For years we bought Hunter fans thinking these acs would be high quality because their fans were. Now I will have to spend more money to go back to a central ac system.

Just finished installing my new heat pump and it works great. That's the good. The directions are very poor. It wasn't really hard to install but a little help would have been nice. All in all it's a really great system. Very quiet and really cold.

Update 4/5/21: This unit is very quiet. It’s taken us a couple of days to learn how to use the controls, but it’s easy once you understand how it works. Very powerful. Did I mention quiet? We installed the unit ourselves, but we had an HVAC guy come out to pressurize/vacuum the lines. There is a video of how to install this unit on YouTube from the manufacturer. Very helpful and straightforward. Been running for 3 days. I will try to update in 6 months. Original: This is the first unit of two that we will be installing into our home. It was well packaged but we haven’t had the opportunity to open up the boxes yet and inspect the product. I’ll update this review accordingly as we work on installing it.

Awesome unit!

First, thanks for the quick shipping! The unit arrived safe and sound early. Install was straightforward and although I won’t say “easy”, it was a “fun” self install project. Make sure you have a tubing bender, gauges and a vacuum pump. Oh, and other misc tools.

Instructions were not all that clear. No 24 hrs tech support . M - F 8-5. The unit works great. I have the unit in my Man Cave (26' x 26' x 15') metal bldg. I built a loft that is 7 ft up & goes all the way across . So now I have 2 levels with a air handler on the loft and another air handler on the bottom. Feels real good playing ping pong and pool.
