  • High is hot, low is hot, warm is not. Don't overpay like I did.
Color: White Icing
Update: My soup boiled on high but was still simmering on low. It wouldn't be a big deal that it was so hot if I could put it on warm but warm wasn't even warm enough to melt finely shredded cheese on top of my soup. Needed to be microwaved. Original: This crock pot is cute. The last one I had was "stainless steel" but it was impossible to keep clean. The finish on this one seems much easier to clean. The touch panel is really responsive. I reached over the cooker to plug something else in and my stomach activated it through my shirt. Hold the power button for a couple seconds to power off. Took me a bit to figure that out. As far as I can tell you can only select modes before you start cooking. For instance, the only way to go from high to low is to turn it off and on again. It's not as annoying as it sounds. You CAN go from high or low to warm by touching "Mode," though. Once you're cooking you can change your cook time up or down in 30 minute increments. The new time will blink and then go into effect without you having to touch anything else. When you're trying to START cooking you have to touch power to turn it on, choose your mode and time, and then hit power again. It'll just stay blinking and do nothing if you don't touch the power button a second time. I found out that I could get this same cooker for half as much at America's most favorite mart. (Supposedly they carry a ton of matching kitchen items too.) I thought this was a hundred bucks because it was higher quality but turns out you can get it for much less. I'm not going to return it, even though I feel like the price I paid is borderline offensive. Oh well. The very common sized black insert from my last crock pot will fit in this but it might(?) be slightly less efficient. Both the pot that comes with this and my old one sit loosely inside but they're not exactly the same shape. I will probably use the extra insert anyway. It's not like I'm precision cooking here. I like having a second one just in case the first one isn't washed or I'm storing something in it. The lid on my last crock pot had a rubber gasket on the bottom that I liked. It worked well with the ability to lock the lid down for travel. This one doesn't have the gasket. It sits very loosely on top. And there are four channels in the edge of the black pot itself that make me think they're there for air flow?? It would be nice to have that seal for when I'm cooking something for multiple hours so I don't have to worry about losing moisture. (Btw, you can set the timer to cook for up to 24 hours.) The lid from my old crock pot won't fit this one. I tried. But if I use the insert from my old cooker, the old lid will obviously work for it. The lid hanger works well. Took me a second to get used to it. For storage you can use this area to wrap your cord. Nice extra. Like me, you might not be able to use the lid hanger while the crock pot is under your cabinets. Apparently there's a "break in procedure" that you should do before you cook anything. Nothing crazy. I made chicken taco soup in it tonight and everything went well. Overall glad I got this. ... show more

  • No seal on lid
Color: White Icing
Every crockpot that I have ever owned always has a black seal on the tempered lid, not this one. Not having a seal defeats the whole purpose! The lid sets uneven on the ceramic pot letting all the heat out. This was a waste of money. Drew and her team need to make a better crockpot. Not sure why so many people love this and no wonder why so many people have complained of their food not cooking fully. This is why!!! GET A SEAL ON THIS LID!!! ... show more

  • Worst crockpot I’ve ever used
Color: White Icing
If you want to ruin your families dinner this is the crockpot for you. Every setting is boiling hot. I tried rendering beef fat in this on low for a few hours my house ended up smelling like a McDonald’s and the crockpot had turned into a makeshift fryer and this was on low. I’m afraid if I had accidentally set it on high it would’ve started an oil fire ... show more
