  • Cooler Master NR2 Pro Mini ITX prebuild poor build & Quality Control
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
Only positive experience was that the packing was secured within 2 boxes. That's were everything starts going downhill. As I attempted to open the box, I heard something moving around. Opened the package to find the heat sink was clunking around inside. How can the builder forget to secure the metal heat sink? Initially tried to boot up on on main display. Nothing. Tried on my backup. Failed again. This builder has very poor Quality Control. Get it together Cool Master. Terrible experience. Must say that the individual products purchased in the past were of good quality but their prebuilt is much to be desired. ... show more

  • Broke after 4 months
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
It's a great PC, really powerful don't get me wrong...but 4 months after I purchased it from brand new the power supply started failing and the PC crashed multiple times while the fans spun up to maximum rpm, really scary when you dropped 2k on a gaming PC for it to just stop working...really poor quality for something so expensive and it doesn't last...reaching out to coolermaster to see if they can replace the PSU but I'm not happy at all that it stopped working after 4 months ... show more

  • Great computer, not so good QC...
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
I may come back to update this review after I've had more time to use it, but so far it's been running fine. Everything is snappy and haven't experienced any real lagging. Very minimal bloatware, so I didn't even bother reinstalling windows (only things preinstalled were Gigabyte software including drivers and control center and Nvidia software). I dinged it 1 star (almost 2) because the heatsink for the SSD was loose inside the case and the riser cable for the graphics card was partially disconnected. I knew how to fix these issues and the computer booted up and ran fine, but someone who isn't computer savvy may not know what is going on or how to fix it. So far I've had no issues running any of my games (but I don't really play any modern games that require high end equipment) but I mainly bought this to future proof myself in hopes I can use this computer for 12 years like my last one (I was running an i7-3770K and a Radeon HD 7770 2GB). Overall, the build quality was fine; cable management wasn't the best, but passable. The pictures are definitely not reflective of the actual product; the graphics card was much smaller (but still 3 fans) and it does have a USB-C port on the top front of the case; the pictures are of the previous generation case. The choice in using RGB RAM was odd as nothing else in the build has RGB and the RAM sticks are almost entirely blocked from view by the graphics card. I may not have checked if the heatsink hadn't fallen off, but the SSD is a lexar NQ700. The specs never said what it was, so I guess I should've expected something mid-range, but I was hoping for maybe samsung or WD. There's space to add a couple 2.5" SSDs, so I was able to transfer my storage drive from my old PC; SATA cables were included and a chained power cable was already installed. It is a modular power supply, so there are a few extra cables in the box. Overall, this was what I wanted; a mid/high range small form factor PC with a modern CPU/GPU that will hopefully last me a while; only time will tell, but so far so good. ... show more

  • 5 star performance but, 1 star quality control and shipping durability. Please read before buying.
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
First, the computer is a 5 star device....once you reassemble it. Mine arrived boxed well so I assumed it would fire right up. Wrong... I have built many computers, so I opened it up and started inspecting. Here is what was wrong --> heat sink on ssd drive in bottom of case, board that attached to graphics card, slightly unseated, usb header unattached, memory modules not fully seated. Once I corrected these issues it booted and I thought I was good to go....nope. I immediately ran some testing programs and noticed that the CPU temp was high. Liquid cooled so an immediate concern. I shut it down and opened it back up. Needed to remove most of the internals to even get to the connections where the fan headers were and lo and behold the entire liquid cooling system was not connected to the motherboard. I struggled due to the tight confines but got everything finally corrected and reassembled. Rebooted and the computer is fine. As I said to start, this is a really, really good computer with great benchmarks and is silent. The issue comes with quality control and likely rough shipping. I am not sure a non-techy person could have resolved the issues I did nor figured where on the motherboard to reattach things. If you are tech savvy, this device is better than expected in performance but, if you are not, I would probably recommend you pass or have a tech savvy friend there when you open it. Hope this helps someone out there. ... show more

  • I would avoid.
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
Just like others here, heatsink was not attached to the nvme, graphics card not seated properly. Cable management is the worst I've seen. I would never recommend this product to anyone. I've bought prebuilts before, never did I receive them in such a bad condition. Please save yourself the headache and go with a company that knows what they are doing. ... show more

  • Open Notice to CEO
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
Graphics Card (hereafter, "GC" ) was DOA. Mobo appeared to be working, fans on and light show worked too. GC different story. Power connectors to GC visually right. GC board to bus connector and same to PCI slot visually right. No visually apparent issues. No visual or aural distress calls by Mobo. No fans, no video. This customer not willing to disassemble, properly rebuild a brand new computer assembly that should have passed a multi-point functional check prior to packing & shipping. Presumably great example of zero "kwality kuntroal" as Cooler Master's Director of Manufacturing ("DoM" ) would likely spell it. Opinion to CEO: fire the DoM ASAP. Apparently quality may be DoM's LAST priority. Getting product out the door is presumably the DoM's primary concern. DoM may likely have eliminated the entire Quality Control Department as a cost savings. Many DoMs' performance metric is too often production numbers, ignoring quality issues and company reputation. Quality issues can make Canada appear difficult to respect as a source of quality hi-tech eqipment! Sad for Canada, sad for potential customers. ... show more

  • Check for loose components.
Size: Ultra 7 265F Style: RTX 5070
The computer looks great and packs a lot of power. I loved the small form factor. Be careful when ordering. If there is a way to contact the shipper or company before it ships, I would do so and be sure they secure all parts in the unit or disconnect parts like the GPU and heatsink over the NVME drive. I ordered this computer twice and each time it arrived with a loud rattling in the box. When I opened the box and removed the computers side panel a large metal heatsink fell out. It was the heatsink over the NVME. The first computer would not POST so I had to return it. The second one, same story the heatsink looks in the case but this one had damaged the GPU fans and dings up some of the other internals. I tried to power this second one on and again it would not power up. I unfortunately had to return this one as well. I had to go a different route in the purchase of a new desktop due to I did not want to run the risk of a third system showing up with loose components again. I wish there was a way to inform Cooler Master that their devices have been poorly inspected. I checked reddit and this has been a common issue with this computer. ... show more
