This easy to assemble pergola offers a sophisticated and architectural alternative to lower cooling costs by reducing temperatures up to 32% underneath keeping you and yours cool and comfortable all year long. Made with high density polyethylene (HDPE) this fabric is not only fade resistant itself but blocks harmful UV rays which also protect your furniture, tiling, or decking from fading. It's easy to clean and will not fade, crack or rot. The frame is constructed out of sturdy, yet lightweight powder-coated aluminum poles which are corrosion resistant for superior long life. Beyond a reduction in temperature, the fabric is earth-friendly, recyclable, and endorsed by GreenGuard, the Melanoma International Foundation, and Oeko-Tex. It is recommended or required for two people to do the assembly of this unit. The fabric top has a 5-year fabric warranty against UV degradation. The pergola is 9'10" by 9'10" square and 9'5" high. All hardware is included for installation.

It looks very nice and is very nice to sit under when the sun is shining! Seems a little bit on the flimsy side, but have had no issues with it yet. It did come with minor scratches from the factory, though, because the delivery box was in perfect condition.....nothing major and no big dents. Ours measures 89 inches from the deck to the top of the post cap which is the highest point. From outside post to outside post it measures 108 inches one way and 106 inches the other way. ( we measured from the top of the posts too) The post “feet” are 6 inches square. The posts themselves are 4 inches by 4 inches. And....The top rails stick out 6 inches from the outside of the post. Hope this helps. Update: It’s been 2 months now and we love it so far! Absolutely no issues with anything! I’m increasing the rating to a 5 star. New Update: It's been 2 years now and still works and looks like new. We take the canopy off for the winter but leave the rest up. Well worth the money. ... show more

These pergolas are great, they look very classy, are light weight and easy to assemble. I purchased two of them for my back porch / outdoor kitchen area and they really are a great addition. However, there are a few cons: 1- if you're in a area with high wind you'll need anchor them down 2- they rattle a good bit in wind as well 3- one of mine was missing a carabiner that the canopy attaches to (not a huge deal, I made it work without it) 4- here's the big one.... and I'll preface this by saying that the damage was preventable had I thought to draw back or remove the canopies with pending snow (we don't get much snow in SC, so I'll blame my ignorance on that)... the canopies cannot hold the weight of snow, so either draw them open or remove them all together. I came home from work today to both of them having caved in with bent poles and a lot of damage. Not sure how to go about ordering replacement parts, or if coolaroo monitors these posts, but maybe someone can help me out with finding replacement parts or if any of this could be under warranty. 4 stars only because of the noisiness in the wind and missing carabiner. Great quality pergola for the price, the instructions are terrible , but was able to figure out, pay attention to the pictures on the instructions very closely because I made some small mistakes and had to redo a lot of things half way through, the top material is confusing and a pain to get on. I used a drill with Allen bit made the process so much easier than tool supplied . Feels pretty sturdy against the house, but if standing alone in open space I’d be a little worried in a windy area. ... show more

Perfect for my needs. Arrived safely, no shipping damage. Packaged well. Quality components, looks good, and most important for my needs it was the right size for my small concrete patio. Only minor cutting made it fit, and the aluminum cut easily. Since the entire structure is very lightweight, I will purchase concrete screws and anchor the 4 corners down, soon. I am looking forward to being able to ENJOY the shade on my patio. Took 2 people 2.3 hours from start to finish to install. Not bad at all. Thank you Amazon ... show more

The pergola came with parts in different quanities than in the instructions which left us with extras we don’t need/can’t use and one less cross bow (4 instead of 5) so our shade hangs awkward. Can’t just buy parts to fix.

Only 4 stars because it was pretty difficult to assemble. All of the holes don't match up so you have to maneuver the pieces a lot to get the screws to catch. We even had to drill a new hole for one of the pieces. Also, one of the posts had dents it, but we just put that one in the back and no one notices. Once it was assembled, it looked great and functioned very well. The structure is solid and the top is well designed and it doesn't catch the wind and move the entire structure. We’ve had this up for about a month now. Our patio faces east so it is lovely to have the option to have the awning for shade in the morning, but open it and enjoy the evening sky. We live in central Colorado and the sun is intense and this provides good coverage for us as well as help prevent fading on our furniture. We also get strong and gusty winds here and while we try to keep the awning retracted when the wind picks up, it has been left out and the structure hasn’t budged. We are considering adding weight to the hollow posts, but it doesn’t seem urgent. This is surprisingly sturdy for how light it is. It was simple to assemble and took less than 2 hrs for two of us to get together. Great purchase! ... show more

This thing may be great - IF you can put it together! Box arrived looking somewhat beat up. Once I started to open it, I realized that it had been opened before and re-taped - I think it was a return and they didn't check it thoroughly before shipping back out. Upon unpacking everything, I discovered two of the footing brackets/mounts were missing and it couldn't be assembled at all. On top of that, there was no instruction sheet, either. More things may be missing as I had no parts list to refer to. As I re-packed everything, I noticed a huge gouge on one of the posts as well. Had to pack everything back up and now wait for it to be picked up in a few days. Thoroughly disappointed with this purchase. ... show more
