My hand mixer literally blew up and I decided to upgrade. I spent days comparing models, accessories, specs, etc. I was looking at Kitchen Aid, but as good as everyone says they are, it's just too much to invest in a mixer that's not used every day. What attracted me to the Cook Lee brand was, first, the price on Amazon, that was made even better by a "coupon" savings and my bonus points. Second (having spent most of my life in graphic design) was the actual design of the mixer. Nothing you have to hide in a cabinet! It's about half the weight of a Kitchen Aid. Which leads me to one small point: in the "compare with" section on Amazon, material was listed as "aluminum". I know it wasn't meant for the accessories, becasuse they had their own material description. It's a heavy duty plastic body, but it's not aluminum. Regardless, what isn't plastic today? The suction cups on the bottom are formidable, almost like wrestling with an octopus! Lift it all up at once, because if one of them catches the counter top again, it sticks! Which is good, because the mixer DOES shimmy a little on higher speeds, but the machine stays put very firmly. The biggest surprise was the quietness of operation. I thought it might be noisier because it has a 600+watt motor--stronger than many other brands, including Kitchen Aid. So that was a surprise. The spatter cover is a nice extra, and the stainless steel 9.5 quart bowl has a handle and it twist-locks to the base. I've tried the various attachments and speeds and different weight doughs, just to inaugurate the mixer properly and see if there were any negatives. Well, one. But it's a reverse-negative in that I'm mentioning the bowl is too BIG. It was fine for all I used it for, but there will come a time when a smaller bowl would be more practical, so I'v checked with the manufacturer and am awaiting a reply. All in all, if you're not completely convinced that Kitchen Aid is the ONLY good mixer, this one is highly recommended. Weight wise, it's easy enough that almost anyone can handle it, so if you store it in a cabinet you don't need to call for help to hoist it out. I don't have the cabinet space, so it doubles as a mixer and a piece of sculpture!

I've put this thing through the ringer - meringues galore, bagel dough, panettone dough, 4x cookie dough recipes, nougat, marshmallows, cake batter out the wazoo, every type of frosting you can imagine, this baby can handle everything. A few things: If you are sleepy and turn the knob in the opposite direction trying to turn it to the first speed, you will be sorry. Especially if you have powdered sugar in there. Ask me how I know. This thing is LOUD. You won't want to stand close to it for very long. It's not worth using if you're only whipping a few egg whites or a small amount of cream - it won't whip, the whisk attachment sits too far above the bottom of the bowl. Use a hand mixer for smaller quantities. Speaking of the gap between attachments and the bowl- always scrape. This rule applies to every mixer IMHO, but do yourself a favor and stop the mixer midway to scrape the edges and the bottom to make sure everything is being incorporated evenly. You will thank yourself. All the attachments are dishwasher safe. Hallelujah praise be. This workhorse lives on my countertop next to my 6 qt KitchenAid all year long, and for good reason. They both have their strengths but my god the 9.5 qt capacity is a godsend during holiday baking sprees. Buy with confidence. Happy mixing!

No where close to being as nice as kitchen aid . But, for the money I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed. The bowel is very nice size and well made! The mixer itself is a thinner flimsy plastic and seems it could get scratched or cracked very easily. So far I’ve used it for cookie doughs and frostings . I’m curious about how it’s going to hold up to bread dough …😬 🙏 It is very pretty and budget friendly compared to kitchen aid. If you are just using it for once in a while home use, I say go for it. It does a nice job.

This is the worst stand mixer I have ever used. The mixing attachments don’t reach the sides of the bowl nor the bottom. Therefore, they just push the ingredients up against the side of the bowl and doesn’t mix them. You have to stop the mixer every 5 seconds to scrap the sides. Since it doesn’t reach the bottom of the bowl you have a lot of ingredients sitting there not getting mixed in. I have used this mixer twice now and it already smells like the motor is burning up. The only positive I have to say is the purple color of the stand is pretty. I would not recommend and would return it but it’s too late.

This mixer is a 5 star product, huge bowl, powerful motor, easy to use, simple parts, easy to clean! I use this to make fluffy cakes where 24 eggs were made into a stiff snow in no time, And the bowl wasn’t even full. Also used it to mix together heavier batters and performed great. I did not use this to mix a heavy dough as I didn’t buy it for that reason. I didn’t expect such a good product for this price.
