  • Highly recommended!
I purchased some of the 1/0->4 gauge adapters as well as these 4->8ga adapters. All of them appeared to be relatively well-made with no apparent defects or obvious burrs/machining flaws, etc. Set screw threads were smooth and they held the wire in place well. Accepted multi-stranded wire without a fight, makes inserting multi-strand wiring for power/ground infinitely easier! Other thoughts: Really wish they came with some heatshrink; had to purchase that separately, but absolutely critical when power and ground connections are close enough together that these would probably arc. With heat shrink applied they're literally rubbing against each other once installed in the amp... When really cranking down on the set screw it *will* chew into/through most multi-stranded wire leaving 'splinters' of wiring fragments. While this obviously helps ensure a good 'bite' on the wire and good conductivity, it will inevitably ruin the end of the multi-stranded cable (if you have to remove or re-attach it later) unless it is well-tinned They're kinda long.... Not an issue on one amp with horizontal inputs, but on another amp with angled power/ground inputs, these things stick out WELL below the bottom plane of the amp and required 'customization' of the mounting surface (had to knock a big hole in it so these could poke down past the bottom of the amplifier and 'into' the mounting surface...) That issue is compounded once you actually have cables screwed into them as they're fairly rigid then and much more difficult to navigate in tight spots. ... show more

  • No issues, makes for a cleaner install.
The terminals on my amp were too small for the 4guage wire I already had, so I grabbed these, mainly because they were the ones amazon was able to get to me overnight. Not much to say.. they work as they should ans they make the install look a lot cleaner than it would with stray strands hanging out of the terminals. The set screw is nice and tight. I heat shrinked them to prevent any shenanigans in case one of them gets loose and decides to reach across the aisle. ... show more

  • Perfect fit for my 4awg cable and the added sleave ...
As pictured, the shaft on these addaptors is quite long. I had to trim mine (if you own a Dremel a cut off wheel works well) to fit my amp but I can imagine an aplication where the added length would be necessary. Perfect fit for my 4awg cable and the added sleave to cover the insulator makes for a very good looking finished product. I would suggest covering the + side with some sort of insulator (a few wraps of electrical tape work fine). ... show more

  • Very satisified.
Ordered it for my husband and he's super happy. Now he can blast that extremely loud audio system in his car.

  • 4 awg to 8 awg????
Could very well be my amp inputs, but had to grind down the flat spots on the reducers to fit my amp. Without grinding the set screws on amp would not catch thread at all. Again, could be my amp and not the product. Either way, great quality and way cheaper than buying at my local install shop. Would still highly recommend even with the modification. The only thing I would like added is some sort of insulator for the off chance that connections come loose to prevent touching and possibility arching. Even with that two small pieces of shrink tubing or even electrical tape and no worries. ... show more

  • Serve their purpose.
Exactly what I ordered. Ordered and received all in same week. Only complaint is the design if putting them on an amp they are very very close to each other if not touching, due to the piece sticking out being off center on both. Other then that though they worked great for the job.

  • 4 gauge to 8 gauge adapter.
This item is a 4-gauge to 8-gauge power cable adapter. I am using this item in a Car Audio application, although I’m sure it may be used in other electrical applications as well. One pair of adapters is allowing me to pair two 8-gauge speaker wires into one 8-gauge speaker terminal. I am also using the other pair on my 4-channel amplifiers power and ground cables, making connecting and disconnecting simple without dealing with frayed wires. I should of used these sooner, but I didn’t know they were a thing, but I’m glad I do now. ... show more

  • Bit big
Decent quality, manufactured a tad on the large side. Had to grind them down a little to fit into my amp, and yes I ordered the correct adapters
