  • Been searching for the perfect beard trimmer
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect beard and mustache trimmer for the past 30 years. I finally found it! It’s corded (never running out of power), has substantial power (cuts through coarse beard hair like butter), comes with a goof proof beard size attachment (that has multiple lengths with a slight adjustment up or down), and does not vibrate out of control in your hand while cutting (it’s a smooth “buzz” feeling on your hands). And lastly, how can you beat the price? It costs 1/8 of all the fancy clippers I’ve tried over the years. Only suggestion would be to make this trimmer in a larger size, to cover a bit more real estate, for a beard (so you can have this mustache trimmer type, and the full beard trimmer type). Other than that, it’s perfect. Want a manly trimmer? Get this. ... show more

  • Super cheap but don't let the price fool you! It cuts great and will last for many years!
Great product. I use it to shave my face when I'm too lazy to use a real razor. Gets pretty close to the skin. I can also buzz my hair with it too. Versatile and strong little machine. Love it !!

  • 95% satisfied. Corded model: Good build, cheaply switch, 110 V only - but works well.
UPDATE 05.08.2022. I use these as a beard shawer on an 50 Watt 220V/110V travel transformer. Till now it has worked fine. Instead of going for insanely expensive rotary or foil shawers for your beard or mustache, just use this one. No expensive foil and cutters to replace anymore, no pulling your hair from unsharp electrical razor cutters, etc. The only negative I have is the switch feels cheaply made and is from thin plastic. Other thant that the cutters are from stainless steel which is a plus and it does what it is supposed to do. I don't know the internals and can not compare it to the Oster brand for example. At least the motor is not weak at all and will manage every face hair there is. I recommend this at this price. But I would not want to pay more than 20 $ for these unless they make these scale up in quality to the Oster material quality. 12 $ is an acceptable price for these units. MAIN REVIEW I bought 2 of these red corded Conair beard trimmers. 1 of them had an significant louder motor noise than the other one and the motor of that one ran an unconsistent motor rpm. As if the power was not consistent or the motor did not run uniformily. I requested that one in warranty from Conair and after sending them the invoice and serial number they shipped me now an replacement one. Be advised these are all only on 110 V - so do not mix up your personal devices at travelling since these do not have an worldwide automatic adjusting power intake. So I marked these as "110 V only". They use 4 Watts as it states on the machine as such as any small 50 Watt travel converter will do it (step down transformer from 220 V input to 110 V output) to use these corded models. I opted for the corded model because they do not have an built in battery which fails after 3+ years and the whole thing has to be thrown away. So these corded models are way more environmentally friendly. I do not like e-waste. These have an powerfull motor and they cut well. I dont understand people who complain about dull clippers or weak motor - I believe they use these claims as an excuse to claim the warranty for an replacement or justification for returning them. If these are without defect these will work well. The switch has an flimsy fealing and could have been more substantial in an Oster 76 Classic style fashion or like those Remingtons with an hefty sideswitch. These cut the beard for an electric razor replacement the closest possible to the skin. I use these as an electric razor replacement. I never used for decades an propper electric razon but only used this type of beard trimmer clippers as an replacement for an razor. These raze quicker and are allways sharp while the razors are expensive items whose blades have to be changed for expensive $$ on an regular basis unless they pull only the hair. These cut the hair short and are allways sharp. The blade of this corded Conair model is only 1 inch wide. A bit small I thought at first but it works very well and is wide enough. About 15 swipes and the face, ears and nose is trimmed and razed down. Yes these trim as well ear hair - just tilt them accordinly and to some extent they cut as well nose hair, again with the propper technique. The blades are entirely stainless steel but underneath there I fear moving parts are plastic. But then again I have used already for about 1 decade an Phillips beard trimmer which was as well mostly plastic. Its built in battery died and so I went for these corded Conair plug in models. Flimsy switch and loud noise as well potentially electrical unsafe motor of the one I ordered got 1 star less. But I recommend these. Though I would consider these a bit overpriced at 16$ and would rather consider 12$ as an fair price. I recommend these. Make sure to go for the corded model only. The built in battery model will be trash as soon the battery dies and the battery operated model seems to have an underpowered motor. ... show more

  • Simple, and does the job
Simple, and does the job. Great price. Did not want a rechargeable - always trim the beard in front of a mirror - and there is always an outlet.

  • Not a Pleasant Trimming Experience
The Conair Corded Beard and Mustache Trimmer has a couple of serious issues that keep it from receiving a better rating. Proves and Contras: On the plus side the trimmer does not require recharging, which places this trimmer in a separate class from all the disposable planned obsolescence trimmers. The trimmer is comfortable in the hand, and the power cord is an appropriate length of 6ft. The trimmer seems to have sufficient power and has a nice steady hum when in operation. The trimmer head is around 1 inch and is just small enough to get behind the ears and eyebrows. Sadly, this is where the pros come to an abrupt stop. I have had some serious problems trying to use this trimmer including excessive heat and poor trimming results. The trimmers metal cutting head absorbs heat transferred from the motor. If you plan to spend more than about 10 minutes trimming the metal piece becomes hot to the skin requiring a 5 minute cool down, especially when using this trimmer in sensitive areas. This leads to a larger complaint, the poor trimming. For some reason this trimmer does not trim effectively. For example, every trimmer I have ever used whether corded or cordless trimmed hair at the slightest touch of the trimmer. However, when I try to trim my moustache’s long hairs with the Conair I have to press and repress the trimmer against my hairs to get a trim. This leads to having crooked lines, missed hairs, and a frustrating result. I always carry a beard and use this trimmer on a monthly basis just to trim up my moustache and to even out my beard. I will say this trimmer does the job, and for the price, I cannot complain too much. However, I wanted to give an honest review so that others have a better idea of what to expect from this trimmer. While this trimmer will trim up your beard, it is not a pleasant experience and if I could take back my purchase for a slightly better corded trimmer I would. My recommendation, if you cannot afford a nicer trimmer the Conair will work; however, I would recommend spending a little more for a corded Wahl or similar product if you intend to use your trimmer on a frequent schedule.
