This is the third one I have purchased since 1993, maybe? Definitely worth the money. Great for wet or dry shaving, trimming hair line in back, and so on. Easy to clean, too. I particularly like that you can replace the batteries so you never worry about whether or not it is charged. And, having had an acquaintance get MRSA following a razor cut on her leg, I worry about razors now. This shaver may save you from a similar health issue. No chance of cutting yourself. This shaver works okay. So far I have only tried it dry. I would not call it a "satiny smooth" shave. It did cut the hairs down, but I was left with stubble, even after multiple passes. Using it dry would be good for those days you just want a quick shave so you can wear shorts or a skirt out of the house since no one from a distance will know the difference. It will NOT be that satiny smooth, freshly shaven with a disposable razor out of the shower leg that your man loves. I'll give it a try soon using it wet in the shower and then will update. As far as the stand, it could be improved. The razor barely sits in the cradle. It doesn't snap in at all so it balances precariously. If it isn't placed in the cradle in an exact way, the contacts will not touch and the razor won't be charging - which you can see when the green light is on. I couldn't leave it plugged in and charging in the bathroom because it would surely get knocked down and probably end up broken. Update 11/20: So, I tried the shaver in the shower and that was a huge fail. It was really hard to tell where I had shaved as it didn't seem to be cutting much of anything at all. I will never use it again in the shower. However, I did give the razor another try dry. After experimenting, you can get a somewhat smooth shave if you go "really" slowly, going over the leg multiple times, to make sure it gets each and every hair. I'll keep it around for when I have some extra time and I don't feel like shaving with a disposable razor in the shower. The one nice thing about this razor is no razor burn (because it just doesn't get as close as a disposable razor.) So it's a trade off and earns that 3rd star for me. ... show more

I had back surgery & canโ€™t bend for months. Needed something for daughters or husband to use in me!! This is great. Granted itโ€™s not as smooth as a straight edge but it shaves fairly close. Close enough that it looks better than long hairs!!
