After not checking luggage on flights for the last seven years, I've started checking my luggage just so I can take these rollers with me when I travel = I use two sets so I just take one complete unit and an extra set of rollers. Okay, yes, I'm crazy but my hair ALWAYS looks great. That's not vanity - that's a fact. Yes, the clips are useless - I use the claw clips from the smaller (purple roller) size and with a little practice I have a found a way to secure them quickly and firmly on these larger rollers. I have bought every new version of electric roller since they started making them and can vouch that Conair is always the best.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to love these so bad and gave it a few tries but I’m over them. The clips aren’t large enough or gritty enough to hook well so the rollers start to slowly slide out and eventually fall off my hair while the clip stays in. The clips are way too small to grab half a roller let alone a roller that has hair wrapped around it. I’ve tied to secure them to the roller (and ideally my head lol) from all angles, it’s a joke every time. Another annoying thing is opening the case to grab a roller out. The case itself is so slippery and has no grip. Can’t open it w one hand the top has no texture. So unless the set bumps against something on my desks and stops, it keeps sliding away from my hand and won’t open. Not sure if the video captured it. This whole set is going right back to where it came from, as it had to of been designed by a toddler.

These rollers are perfect for me. I have long hair, past my shoulder blades, with slight layering and long bangs. My hair is curly, but not kinky and it gets frizzy/poofy with humidity. It's thick, but only b/c I have lots of fine hair. I can wear it curly or straight. (People think that sounds heavenly, but it can be a curse with humidity, especially when I want it straight.) In the summer I let it air dry, but usually have to dry and curl it in the winter and when it's chilly outside. I love hot rollers for the ease of them, but until I found this set, they have always been too small for me. Since my hair curls really easily, I end up with too tight of curls with smaller rollers, even the 1 1/4" rollers that some would consider big. Through the years, every time I saw hot rollers with a bit bigger roller, I would buy them. Most of the time I would end up using my large barrel curling iron to get a softer curl. I'm am so happy with these. I just got them and I've used them three times so far. Once with slightly damp hair and the other two times on dry hair. My hair came out fuller when it was 100% dry first. The curls I get are soft, more like waves. I couldn't be happier, exactly what I wanted, a bit more body than what the curling iron gave me. If you're looking for curly hair with these, then get a different set with smaller rollers. If your hair is fine and straighter, I would imagine that these would do nothing for you. Straight/fine hair would probably slip right off of these rollers. If you're looking to soften your curl like I was, then get these! I use all eight, four on top and four on the bottom. I'm not a huge fan of the clips, but they do work for most of the rolls. The last roller closer to my forehead, flips forward b/c the clip doesn't hold it in place, so I hold it there for a few seconds. That is for my bangs, so I don't mind a little less curl with those and do that one last. I tried the clips from my other roller set, but they didn't work. I cut my hair curling time in half with hot rollers b/c you roll each one and by the time you get to the last one, you're ready to take off the first one. Not like a curling iron b/c you have to hold it on each spot before you move to the next. I use a little bit of aniti-frizz gel and I have body all day with these. So glad someone FINALLY made a hot roller this big! Yay!

I have been looking for hot rollers that are all large. I finally found this. I wish there were a couple more rollers to accommodate my hair. Some people complained that they did not curl their hair. The purpose of large rollers is to add fullness and smoothness to the hair, not curl. So, if you are looking for curl, do not buy. My natural gray hair is long and straight. I needed something to give it a finished look without damaging like flat irons and curling irons cause. These do the trick. The biggest issue I have which resulted in only 3 stars is the terrible flimsy clips that came with them. They do not hold. The hair easily slips out because of the weight of the roller and 2 tiny and bendable claws meant to hold it. I ordered larger claw clips which work fairly well but sometimes can leave a little imprint. I use these rollers but wish they would have thought through the clip issue. Another solution to the problem may be to order large wire clips and place 2 clips per roller if you don't like risking imprint from claw clips. This to me is not a deal breaker since I am happy to finally find rollers that are all large and do not result in heat damage.

I absolutely love the size of the rollers; however, The clips are horrible. I had read that in the reviews and I believed it but I thought I could make them work somehow. Not the case. May I suggest that the company use the curlers with the clips and realize you need to redesign the clips! Simple! Now I'm in search of clips so I can use the curlers without holding them individually...

I love these curlers. I have fine hair, but have a lot of it. If I just blow dry my hair it doesn't hold and gets frizzy looking quickly. If I use a curling iron it burns my hair and does not hold a curl. I love these because I can put them in while I finish getting ready and it gives me big curls and volume which is what I am looking for. I get compliments all the time on how full and healthy my hair looks and no one can ever believe that it's from hot rollers. I know it's a dated technology but it's the only thing that works for my hair. And my hair never looks frizzy after I use these. I recommend for anyone with fine hair. And contrary to other reviews I have no issues with the clips that come with them; they hold the curlers in fine for me. Also regarding the red light not turning off - I didn't even know it was supposed to go off LOL. I just wait a few minutes till I assume they've heated up and put them in I don't see that as an issue
