Very cheap, but I managed to finish my 2k square foot front lawn. Product is small but it wasn't a big issue, just had to refill it a few more times. It does put product down well. As others have stated, the assembly instructions are very bad. I have an engineering background and managed to put it together in about 20 minutes. If you don't understand what the different fasteners are for, you will have a difficult time putting it together. Locktite is recommended, it started to loosen up almost immediately. Barrel is sturdy, but the arm and handle are not. All in all it's fine to use a few times on small areas, but this would not stand up to daily use or a large area.

Bought this instead of renting one from the local hardware store. The rental cost would be about the same to buy this spreader. It's a bit smaller 16.5" wide vs 24" rental size. However it spreads the compost great. I may have had to load a few more times than the rental spreader. But that was offset from the hassle of driving to and from the rental location. I could take my time and did a better job overall. No rushing to hit my daily return rental time. I highly recommend this spreader, now I have it for next years yard project....BTW my kids want to use it for their yards as well.

The product may be good overall but the installation guide is a 0/5. I think more work should be put into the instructions vice the product. Am I the only one that feels this way?
