I did not get this for drinks or cosmetics. I got this because I am disabled and once my son leaves for work my dinner is sometimes lacking simple things like condiments or butter for bread. I have a small microwave and he puts my dinner in there. He put my salad in the fridge with the dressing, tomato, butter, and even ca small container of creamer for my coffee. The fridge is not big and does not hold a lot. It holds enough for me for my dinner and coffee. Putting this in the bathroom allows me to push the button on the door for a nightlight as well. The little shelf on the door is good for holding things like cheese sticks or such if you like to munch on those. I can imagine that during the summer it would feel very good have cold skin care products to use. That would probably be rather refreshing. I had no problem opening or closing the door. No different than opening the big refrigerator/freezer doors but this was lighter. The fridge does not use a compressor so the temperature around the fridge plays a big part in how cool the food in the fridge will be. It is very lightweight and does not take up very much room. The measurements given in the description are pretty spot on. It was incredibly easy to set up. Just took it out of the box and plugged it in. Will put the car charger in the car as I can see that we will likely be taking this on our little outings for cookouts up the canyon. Might have to get a second one considering how handy this one is. I put two room-temperature drinks in it and they were perfectly chilled within a day. I drove two hours to Charlotte with the drinks in the fridge and they were cold when I picked my wife up from the airport. I couldn't get the car/DC adapter to work though. I've taken it to my classroom so I can leave half and half in my classroom overnight without it spoiling. If I were a makeup wearer, I think the light on the front and the mirror-like finish would be handy.

I am sometimes on back-to-back Teams calls (on video, boundless joy) for six or more hours without a break. As stupid a problem as this is to have, I wanted a mini-fridge in my home office so I could grab a drink, usually a protein shake, without having to sneak down the hall to the kitchen, because corporate America. Hooray. If you're wondering about restroom breaks, the answer is... sometimes, but those would take priority over the protein shake, which is another reason for the mini-fridge. If I ever get a vacation again, this item was also of aspirational interest because of the 12V car power adapter, because we'd have drinks that could stay cool in the car without having to mess with a cooler full of ice. I set this up, filled it with protein shakes, and put a digital thermometer inside. The house's temperature hasn't swung more than two degrees Fahrenheit in the week I monitored the temperature (70 - 72 F), and I've seen temperatures inside the fridge ranging from 36 F to 55 F. I think some of the temperature swing is how often you open the door: open it more than once or twice a day and it's not going to be able to keep up. I think an indirect cause of the temperature swing is ventilation: the instructions for this thing say to give it two inches of clearance on all sides and I'm doing that, but I'm not giving it much more than that due to where I have this thing crammed in my office, so I can reach it while appearing to pay attention to a meeting. At one point a plastic bag fell next to one of the sides, and the temperature inside the fridge was higher than normal, so it seems to really need that ventilation to work. Adding yet another stupid problem to the mix, I find myself considering finding a quiet fan to direct at the back of this thing, to help it out. Regarding the video review of the guy appearing to struggle to close the fridge: it's not hard to close, even one-handed, if you hold the latch while you close it, same as when you're opening it. You know, you turn a doorknob to open the door, and if you want to close the door quietly, you also turn that doorknob to close the door... same concept here. And oh, the marker he said wouldn't show up well on the door... it's a white chalk marker. It shows up fine, not that I plan to use that feature. The materials do feel slightly cheap. Some of the plastic seams aren't super neat, and I wish the thing wasn't so cartoonishly curved along most of its exterior. The shelves are indeed removable, and they snap in place solidly. I'm not worried about those breaking. I have no idea what you'd use the incredibly narrow little trays that attach to the door for, unless you're using this for cosmetics, then you might be able to find something. I'd considered tossing a couple of cheese sticks in there, but the manual cautions you against putting perishable items in here, and after seeing the temperature swing, I agree wholeheartedly. My protein shakes are shelf-stable when unopened, so this serves its purpose for me. Keep your stuff cool? Yes. Keep your stuff predictably cool? No. Keep your stuff food safe? Definitely not.

The light on the door is bright, and the mirror surface is sleek looking. After being plugged in for over 16 hours the lowest internal temperature is 55f with a humidity level of 58%. I realize this is for makeup, but I bought it to keep near my workstation to keep drinks, and perhaps snacks/lunch in, but at 55f that's far too high to safely store food/drinks in. The cigarette lighter adapter is nice, but again at 55f, you can't really use this to store food/drinks/medicine safely, and who really needs to chill their makeup while they're driving around? for 35-40 bucks, this is a pass from me. It might keep cans of soda/beer "cool", but that doesn't justify the price in my opinion. It is large enough to hold a few cans, the seal on the door (magnetic vacuum) is strong, it's not loud, but it's also not that cold.

I actually got this to keep at my desk. I work from home and wanted a place to keep a few drinks nearby. I am usually one of those people that have to have my drinks really cold (icy) so I was a bit worried that it wouldn't leave my drinks cold enough. It's not freezer cold but keeps my drinks just a cold as a regular fridge. I don't really use the mirror/light but it is a nice touch if you use it for cosmetics. Very happy with this.
