  • Great system, but the iso arms are not the reason to buy
I've looked at Smith/cable rack systems a long time. My previous set up didn't have adjustable cable heights for crossovers etc so I was looking for something with that minimum. This had everything I wanted, PLUS the iso arms would allow leg press from the floor if my back didn't feel like squats that day. The rack went together like a well engineered machine. The bolts aligned, the parts fit and it's SOLID. Two main complaints. First, the adjustable height cable pulleys have a plastic insert to allow a smooth glide along the posts. However, these don't stay in the steel sleeve very well. They are consistently sliding out as I adjust height. Not 100% out usually, but enough to make it a nuisance. I think it needs a set screw or something like that to keep it secure. Second, and this is the big one. The iso arms are practically useless for leg press. They adjust in every way possible, but in order to add this to the rack, you need 2 strong people to align it and attach it simultaneously. The parts are built well and would last years of work, but they do not work as shown. If you were doing chest work or using the arms independently, it's probably fine, though still a lot of work to attach. I think I will find another half rack to mount against my wall for these arms so I can leave them installed. Overall a good system that's well built, but the design leaves a little to be desired. If you are considering buying largely because of the potential for leg press, you ought to look elsewhere. ... show more

  • Its as they describe
Everything is the way they describe, machine works great. The only downsides were with the assembly, one of the pulleys on the adjustable cables was rubbing the bolt that secured the adjustable pully beam to the top of the frame. I fixed this myself by filing down the threads of the bolt and sanding the edges of the pully, it works great now. I also found it difficult to start the threads for the bolt on one of the pull up bars, I ended up getting it with a lot of force, a little bending, and about an hour of fiddling. Overall I would highly recommend this product ... show more

  • Too expensive for what it is
First off, just trying to track the package was a nightmare. They gave me the wrong tracking number and everytime I called the carrier they couldn't find my package. After waiting an extra month, it finally arrived. I assembled and tested the machine out and I found the following problems. 1.) The weight track for the cables doesn't go up and down smoothly. If you put weight on one side of the cable track, it off sets the machine and causes friction along the poles. it goes up and down on and causes a vibration when you use the cables. 2.) The cable arms the you adjust the hight on depending on your workouts, suck. As you move the cable arms up and down the piece of plastic that help it lide up and down, keep coming off as you move it. ... show more

  • Not great but not bad
Overall squat rack is good for the money. The reason I settled on this rack was for the cable part and that was disappointing part of it all. It was supposed to have a 1 to1 ratio on the lat pulldown side but it's all 2 to1. Which just means you need double the plate weights. The cables aren't smooth as I would like either. I'll probably end up upgrading the cable pulley wheels. The cables arms don't move up and down smoothly either there is a flimsy plastic that comes out and needs to be adjusted every time you adjust levels. Comes well package definitely will take most of a day to assemble. ... show more

  • REAL REVIEW
The Good - Its well packaged and parts were labeled nicely - The smith machine is real smooth and the barbell is nice. One of the best features of this whole thing. - it’s cheaper than a lot of multi function racks and it has a middle option to do pull-down and seated pulls so your not hanging off to the outside of the rack like the other systems with just pulley systems on the left&right of the rack. - The cable independent arms on each side is smooth, being able to do wide cross overs is so cool - Small foot print , it doesn’t take up much space in our garage for all that it can do. - fagus H price matches, we bought the rack a few days before the price dropped by $500.. we contacted and asked if they would price match and they did!! The Bad - There is an email on the instruction manual for support — you won’t get a response there. - The jammer arms are just way too heavy, it’s a workout to put them on. - The middle pulley system for the pull downs and seated pulls are loud and rough— would recommend buying aluminum pulleys to replace all the ones supporting the middle pull down and seated pulls (about 20 of them). - The plastic caps come off of the trolley arms whenever you adjust it up and down. FAGUS H you guys need to fix that. - The instructions for the cable portion is terrible— you will need to watch the video on the Amazon listing to figure it out. It’s a good quality rack, certain things about it like the nylon wheeleys for the pulleys and the trolley arms going up and down needs to be improved. My hopes is fagus H expands and provides a weight stack upgrade for their racks and maybe a linear bearing upgrade for their trolley arms. If you read the reviews Fagus H, please provide upgrades to a weight stack option and maybe a linear bearing upgrade for your trolley arms. ... show more
