For price, quality, functionality, quality of life is outstanding. Found it does sometimes fling food as it cuts. Found it mainly happens at end of a block of meat/cheese... our experience with the machine is it's not the greatest with cheese, (soft or hard). It'll do it, but, we found it crumbles and wastes too much cheese. At the end of the day we found it is more economical to buy sliced cheese. To end on a happy note, it cuts the most beautiful ham for sandwiches.

I didnt want to test its ability to cut full ham, so I split ham in half. It has minor issues getting through a normal size ham in the middle. Other than that, it handled the job amazingly well. I am very pleased with this slicer. Sure beats me using a long knife and never having same size slices.

This slicer is a little flimsy and has a slow turning blade, but for the price, it is exactly what you get. It works well and adjusts, cleans easily. It just goes slow, so if you are not in a hurry this will be perfect. I am glad I bought it.

Slicers seems to be well built. Was impressed when I opened the box. But it went down slightly from there. Instruction book is worthless. Bunch of gobbldygook that doesn't make sense, especially section on sharpening the blade. Some YouTube videos say it comes presharpened. Other say it doesn't. Videos show 2 small holes in blade to screw a knobbed piece, from the rear of the slicer, into to lift out the blade for cleaning. The knobbed piece is there, but the holes aren't. No other use for the knobbed piece. Blade cover removal knob is cracked. Will figure something out instead of packing it all up and shipping it back. YouTube videos say it comes with 2 spare grinding wheels for the sharpener. Mine did not. Still have not tested it yet, so the option of returning it is still up in the air. Really think it is basically a good machine, well built hope I can work it out.

Okay so we don't eat meat but I bought this two sliced bread because everything else I've tried completely ruins it. This thing is great for slicing bread, french fries, zucchini ,pretty much anything I have tried. Zero complaints. And it really doesn't take up that much counter space.

This is promoted as commercial grade/quality at an affordable price. I purchased this so I could very thinly slice very expensive imported Prosciutto. The "heft" of the machine was insufficient to cut the meat. Instead it bowed and bent against the density of the meat. So much for "commercial" quality. I had high hopes for this product, so I tossed the packaging before I used it. Had I not, I would have absolutely written to return this purchase.

I've spent some time in Europe and loved using these there. I finally just bought one. Now I can buy meats in bulk and cut them to the thickness I like. I love getting ribeyes and freezing them and cutting them into thin layers for steak and cheese sandwiches. And. I seem to be eating healthier now. I don't know if that is because I'm thinking about it more or because I'm using this cutter more. I made an eggplant dish the other day with the eggplant cut so thin and then rolled up a beef and pork mixture in it. Threw on some Mediterranean spices and bam..into the skillet. You'll love this thing!
