I'm impressed and happy with this rug. I was a little worried that because it's an indoor/outdoor, it would have that scratchy cheap quality you find in Walmart outdoor rugs. Not the case! This looks great in our living room, just like the picture. It's not soft but it's also not scratchy - I also wasn't looking for a plush rug so this is perfect. The black is sort of a muted black so it doesn't show pet hair or dirt. There is also a light rubbery backing to keep it from sliding around. No smell or anything like that. I absolutely LOVE the colors, pattern and coverage area! We bought a 6x9 for the foyer top break up some of the visual tile space and a 3x5 for the front door.
