Overall I’m very happy with this Smith Machine. It arrived in an approximately 6ft tall 600 lb crate with everything inside. The delivery guys get paid to deliver it to your door so you’ll need to get it inside the house however you can. I paid a local gym assembly company to put it together and they didn’t want me to open the crate should I drop or lose a part. Therefore, I had to pay to have this 600lb box moved to my basement. If you hire a company, keep in mind that the equipment needs to already be in the room because they don’t move equipment, only assemble. The two-man assembly team said that the directions were not that great. They especially had problems with the pulleys. Instead of the assembly taking 3-4 hours, an extra hour was devoted just figuring out the pulleys. Now that it’s all assembled I absolutely love it! The price was good, it’s sturdy, and works well. And I moved that 6ft crate to the back yard to keep garden stuff in. (I painted it sky blue.) I’d definitely recommend this equipment to anyone doing a home gym.

The media could not be loaded. Edit (90 Days of Use): I just saw the exact same rig on Sports Fitness Exchange or some other website priced at $4,500 w/a labor day rebate putting it at $3,500. Although the weight stack is advertised at 220lbs, you should really consider it a 110lbs weight stack because the pulley system is a non-adjustable 2:1 ratio. This means you’re paying a premium on shipping an additional 110lbs per side (220lbs total) to make a weight stack of 110lbs a side. Moving the “birds” up and down has required lots of WD-40, but they’re good now. My other gripe is that no matter how hard I tried to level the ground supports, the left side of the smith bar always pops up half an inch from being settled, which wreaks of factory defect. I’ve busted my return window, but I think I’d rather have bought something smaller. I’ve been eyeing the RitFit BPC05 priced about the same with similar height but a smaller footprint (great for the garage). The issue is I think shipping adds an addition $500 to that order. If I had my druthers, I’d spring for the Rogue FM-6 Twin Functional Trainer at $5,400. That doesn’t come with a smith bar nor do I think Rogue dabbles in such trifles. A smith bar add-on starts at $500 depending on who you go with. You can get a mega rig if you reach out to AliBabba suppliers directly, but Mileage May Vary. The one buyer beware of this product and all functional trainer / smith machine / power cage combos is that the transitions kind of suck. The functional trainer beams double as the free bar beams, and the free bar resting on the J-Hooks will impede use of the smith machine or any functional movement requiring the “birds” to be above the J-hooks. What this means is that for the most part, any time you want to go from say over head barbell press to dips in a super set, you’ll have to spend about 60 to 90 annoying seconds trading out parts. The purpose to the home gym is to remove friction from the work out. The home run if you have space and money, is to get a functional trainer and a separate power cage. Otherwise, this isn’t a bad solution, just not the best solution. Original Review (30 Days of use): I’ve been bouncing around insta ads, alibaba express, and facebook market place for an all-in one power cage. The jury’s still out, and I may update later. Pros & cons bellow; hit me up if looking for something more specific. Cons: -Sucks to put together. Took me the better part of two days as well as rework on the weight stack. Make sure you put the weights is in the same way, and that you’ll have 19 per side. Also, the directions suck, so it took a lot of trial and error to figure some parts out. I’m not sure if it was me and my huge muscles 💪, but I kept stripping the bolt heads. Also, I got a lot of scratches on the beautiful powder coated metal while trying to put some of the pieces together. -Definitely needs RUBBER (NOT Foam) mats. I bought 2 4x6 rubber horse 🐴 stall mats from Tractor Supply Co. 🚜 at about $110. Sales rep said home gym buyers are their #1 customer for the product. -The pulley system isn’t commercial gym smooth. I’m going to try and tighten it and maybe add some WD-40 to see if that helps. The cable already came off the pulley once. -the workout movement sticker keeps coming off and has to be glued on to stick (not a big deal) -some of the starter set attachments aren’t the best quality (still work, not that big of a deal). Pros: -comes with a separate quality Olympic barbell -delivery price included with item -at 14 gauge steel, the quality and craftsmanship for the cage are great. My only gripe is that pulley tube is a thinner lower quality alloy and that the pulleys are polymers and not steel. -It comes with a starter set of attachments. -the height is perfect for me (on the taller side) to do pull-ups. Everything else I looked at was a good 6” shorter and would have made pull-ups less challenging or more challenging to do correctly. -Each weight stack is 220’ vs most everything else at this price point which caps out at about ~160’. -Had a barbell holder built-in I ultimately bought this machine over similar ones I found on Facebook market place that were priced almost $1,000 less because I wanted the pull up bar to be higher and wanted a heavier weight stack. I do wish it had a center line weight stack in the back to make lat pull-down easier to access without having to change a bunch of settings, but this meets the mark. Telling is that you can find this same set up on alibaba (all the weight machines advertised in the U.S. come from China w/few exceptions) at about $600 a pop. The problem is that shipping and customs make single purchases prohibitively expensive. I would have gone with a used one, but I only found really beat up / almost non-serviceable equipment. A few online wholesale buyers may exist in your city, and will sale at quite the discount; they just didn’t have the height and weight that an extra grand on Amazon got me. Lastly, when constructing, make sure you’re building it in the EXACT place you want to use it. Once built, the thing has to weigh over 1,000’. I had to take out the weight stacks to move because I found my head would hit the one beam in my garage during pull-ups. Also, I had to re-orient the machine because the incline in my garage cause an inch and a half difference between the left and right side. It now faces downhill so I don’t build a bigger left side. Extra Costs: $110 -Rubber mats $150 -Bench $400 -Rubber Weight Plate Set Optional Extra Costs: $100 -Foot Plate for leg press $160 -leg extension / curl attachment $120 -seat attachment $300 -Jammers Can’t say this gym makes sense for you, but I can say a home gym makes sense for everyone. First off the instructions are horrible, it’s just sitting. because that’s how confusing it is. Some pieces came scratched and dents screws came mixed up out of packaging most parts are labeled with numbers that are stickers more than 10 of them came off the correct item so we had no idea which parts were which . The pulleys came unlabeled as well, so we had no idea which ones went to which. on top of that we were missing one pulley I contacted Amazon to see what could be done and the only thing they told me was refund for a return mind you this item weighs over 500 pounds and was delivered in a wooden box that was already open because we started to put it together thinking it was going to be OK and Amazon wants me to ship it back in what box I guess it’s my loss

I took a chance and ordered this, simply due to price point and because the cables use bricks and you pull a pin and change weights, you don't have to stop between drop sets and change out plates. Easy to assemble, I have used it now for 3 weeks and love it. The crate it was packed in however was damaged and had to be repalletized for delivery,no parts were missing as they are packed very well, and no damage to any parts either. Happy with my purchase.

Remarkably sturdy and well designed. It allows you work on various gym equipment into a single set seamlessly. I've been searching for a solution like this for quite some time, and none have matched the affordability and versatility of this smith machine. With its pat pulldown, squat rack, cables, pull-up bar, chest flys, and landmine attachment, the exercise possibilities are endless. Assembly takes a bit over one hour, but the results are definitely worth it. Additionally, the unit comes with numerous accessories, I look forward to the years of use.
