  • Excellent purchase
I feel compelled to leave a review because I’ve seen other comments saying it won’t stay started and because there seem to be just a couple of brands dominating the portable pizza oven market. First off this oven was on sale when I purchased it which was great because these are pricey. I loved the design of it which was a main point and the other was the ability for the oven to heat to the right temperature. So when I opened it I was very impressed. Honestly it was one of the best unboxing experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was packaged tight and secure. It was practically all put together, the only thing that needs assembled is the door with three small bolts. The oven exudes quality. The way the legs hold in place when folded the powder coated sleek design and L shard burners. When first starting it all you have to do is hold the knob in for about 15 seconds to let the pilot light get hot and your done. I cooked two pizzas last night for the first time with it. If you’ve looked up recipes and video tutorials you’ll know that it’s likely that you won’t be 100% perfect at first. I purchased a separate temperature meter and this thing gets up to cooking temperature much faster than 30 minutes in fact I’ll say at about 10 minutes you’re ready to go at 800 degrees ish. Any longer than that and you will need to dial it down and wait or turn it off and let it cool down. All things considered I am completely satisfied with the purchase and I know I’ll be using it many more times in the future. Thanks. ... show more

  • Like it better than competitor
I've used the 16 inch competitor with L shaped burner. This one is best. Better temp control. I've made pizzas professionally. This is what I use at home. I've yet to make a Detroit style in this one, but for thin crust and Napoli style, this is perfect. I use 00 aged dough, cornmeal for launching on a large, thin metal square peel and then for the constant turning required, I turn the heat to low and use a round, small long handed peel. I have had the oven go out after starting, holding in & thinking it would stay on. After about 4 mins it suddenly goes off. But it always reignites and stays on the 2nd time. Not a bummer issue for me. I just need to monitor it a bit longer. Highly recommend temp laser gun and turning oven to 750° after preheating to 900° Edit: oven will not stay lit now...I've contacted the company. I've used it about 6 times. The inability to stay lit has worsened. ... show more

  • Hot Hot fire
Your pie will catch file if you are not careful. I per heat then turn burner OFF, put pie in and then restart burner after a minute. working good now with care. Would like a low low burner setting.

  • Works great bit there is a learning curve
This portable pizza oven works great. When you go to light it, as others have stated, hold the knob in and slowly turn on. Keep the knob pressed in for 30 sec to a min and allow the flames to burn during that time. You may have to repeat a few times. This really is not an issue at all. You want to aim for about an 8inch crust and make sure you get a pizza peel for turning. What is included is for taking in and out...does not turn the pizza once inside....again get a pizza wheel. Let it warm up on high for about a half hour then turn to low before cooking. Turn it back on high between pizzas or at least every other one. The tricky part is getting a crust that does not stick when putting it in. Don't put your toppings too close to the edge and don't pile high. We have par cooked the crust a few times just until stiffened and then added toppings and returned...honestly that is the easiest begginer way to do it. Make sure you keep rotating and don't leave unattended. We used to order pizza once a week now we make it at home. We have three young adults and often their friends over and they all love making their own pizzas. We typically buy all the toppings and sauces and just let everyone do their own thing. Smores pizzas are amazing. Cook the crust first then add toppings gs just for a quick min otherwise sugar and marshmallows will burn...have fun! ... show more

  • Unbeatable for the price
Purchased Aug '22. Some pointers... - Follow the instructions for lighting. - Get a touchless thermometer that can read up to 1000F - A smaller solid peel works better than the one provided. The peel must be dusted with flour or cornmeal. - Heat the stone to about 900F. The time this takes depends on the ambient temperature...usually about 20 minutes @90F. Turn the flame down. The stone cooks the crust, the flame, the toppings. Move the pizza about every 30 seconds. Usually done in about 2 minutes. Reheat the stone to about 900F. Rinse and repeat. - No regrets. -'Rinse and repeat' is a metaphor. ... show more

  • It’s fun and easy! The company is great to deal with!
I purchased this oven for Christmas for my husband, we never used it until April. There’s definitely a learning curve, but I think that’s part of the fun! We used store bought dough, and got 3 pizzas out of each bag! Fun rotating it to make even cooking! Brought it camping and it was a super hit! We made 9 pizzas for us and friends, all different flavors too! So much so, that now my friend is buying one too! She sent me the link, asking if this was the one we had, it was the same but now offers a door? I reached out to commercial chef, and they so nicely are sending me a door too, even though my version didn’t come with one! HOW AWESOME IS THAT,!? ... show more

  • It's going with us in the RV
Just advertised and very easy to use, even as a pizza novice. The only knock is the provided peel is square too large to turn anything and seems a little sticky by the aerated design. Get the oven, but also buy a good peel right off of the bat.
