  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Pellet stove
Only negative we had sith the stove is that it does not have a hole for the wire to come out the side to plug into the wall and that it's a little louder than I would like. Other than that it's a great buy for the price and heats things nicely.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Well Built / Great Value
I bought three models , two inserts and one free standing for myself and family . They were all professionally installed by a local chimney service . That installer had originally recommended a higher priced brand name to me , but because I was buying three stoves , that wasn’t financially possible. He was impressed with the quality and ease of installation of the units . I do wish he had more experience with operating, but ComfortBilt has been excellent with filling in with customer support over the phone and on line . The three units were installed in ranch , raised ranch and cape styled homes in Southern New England. Two homes use oil fired based board heat and one used gas fired base board heat . With oil averaging over $5.00 a gallon and gas more then doubling in BTU costs, the stoves were purchased in the hopes to offset some of high costs of home heating this Fall and Winter . ComfortBilt provides operating manuals , but I found them difficult to navigate. They do have a good series of “ How To “ tutorials posted on YouTube that were well presented. On the areas that I needed extra help , I found their customer technical support to be five star ! The company service is based in North Carolina . One is not transferred to an offsite global site with agents reading from a script of prepared responses . For me as an older consumer, that is a major concern and a major buying decision factor . Every agent to whom I have spoken with have been patient and well spoken . They take the time to walk one through the issue with setting up the electronic programs that one optioned to use . I will update if necessary, but so far we all are very happy with the units and the customer support . ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Great stove requires constant adjustment when burning
The stove is fantastic it puts out a lot of heat and has no problem heating my house I leave all the doors open to the bedrooms and turn on the circulating fan the only downside which is in my opinion they kind of big one. you have to constantly monitor the pellets when the pellet stove gets to about half the capacity it does not feed the pellets properly and you have to scoop them up to the auger so it will burn so in the middle of the night it could stop feeding pellets and turn off. It is super annoying. I’ve tried waxing the inside to help feed the pellets down, but then I found out that the auger actually lifts the pellets up and then down the shoot, which isn’t a great design if you’re buying this to heat your house and you have to go away for a full day turn the regular heat on in your house. The picture is the amount of pellets left after moving them down twice ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Great stove! Should have bought years ago.
I bought this stove once they were finally back in stock in January 2021. I'm a person who researches even a moderate purchase to probably unhealthy levels. So when purchasing a $2000+ stove, I'm definitely gonna learn everything I can about it. To start, the price was at least half of most other name brand stoves on the market. Some people might think that this is a cheap, generic featureless stove. Nothing could be further from the truth. There are not a ton of independent reviews on the internet for this stove, but every review I found was nothing but positive. Every other big name stove (Harman, Quadrature, Breckwell, etc..) on the market has a ton of reviews; but they're all a mixed bag. I have owned 3 other pellet stoves. So far, this one seems to run better than my Quadrafire classic bay and cost half as much. All parts thst need maintenance or replacement are super easy to access. The build quality is amazing. The door and front are super heavy and radiate heat well. The surround is also thick metal and has a very nice stainless trim (most companies charge $300 to $500 for that as an upgrade). It cycles on and off in ECO mode and sips pellets. Super easy to clean and came with a metal ash vac. My house is a rancher of approximately 2400 sq feet (with the finished basement) and the stove inserted in a masonry fireplace on the upper level. With the stove set to 68, it keeps the main areas at that temp and the back rooms around 65 (we like it cold). With the HVAC on intermittent circulate, it keeps the lower level/walkout basement around 60/62. I ran it on low the first night I installed it, I woke up at 0300 and my house was 86F (it was in the mid 20s outside). Only time will tell if it will hold up, but a search on YouTube shows some of these stoves over four years old and running just fine. I've also seen reviews where when parts go up out of warranty, the company is amazing to work with and will often still send parts at their cost. In summation, no complaints so far. Heats well, east to use, many adjustable modes and features, shipping was super fast (arrived in one week even though with the surround and vac it weighs over 300lbs), packed super well (bolted to a pallet and wrapped in dense foam and plastic inside the cardboard 4 sided interlocking box). Could do worse for the money. As of right now, couldn't be happier. ... show more
