So, the good & the not as good. VERY GOOD. The back massagers go from the very top to the very bottom in the range. I had this in my recliner & the top of my buttocks with the just beyond the small of my back got massaged. This es excellent. Up to the bottom of my heat for the top part. Excellent range. I am 5,4”. The seat part has 3 strengths of vibration. Very relaxing. The back has 3 different settings for massages. It has the just rolling setting. That setting rolls up as it goes up & rolls down as it goes down. So you get bidirectional rolling. You can select top back, low back or full back with that one. You can also select to have the nodes heated with this selection. It is a very gentle heat. You can also select the shiatsu massage, you can select full back, top back, low back or spot. You can select heated nodes. You can also select regular or slower setting for more relaxed session. You can also choose the alternating 3d shiatsu. This can be on the lower back, upper back, full back or targeted spot only. It can have heated nodes & can also be regular or slow. I personally loved the spot 3d just to my lowest back/buttock area with heat on slow setting. The not as good for me. The nodes only are heated. And just warmed. Unless you have it on spot area only, you are unlikely to notice much warmth at all. That May be for safety reasons; I don’t know. But I did want some more noticeable heat. It states it automatically shuts off after 15 minutes. It does. That is really not long enough for me. When you hit the power button to turn it back on it always automatically starts in the full back regular shiatsu without heat. So if you want a certain area, you have to select the spot massage & then return it to the area you want & then reselect the massage you prefer. I also consider that the back area is not soft. I like this as it ensures better massaging mechanisms that should really be more durable for longer & a nice strong massaging action which I prefer. My son said it was a little hard as he was hoping to fall asleep getting a massage. This seems more therapeutic than just falling asleep to the low massagers. It does also suggest you can put some fluffy towel or blanket over the nodes if they are too deep digging into your back-another difference with my son & me. I really did appreciate the fine qualities at this price point. I will probably have to get a more expensive one to get the programming options that I want. But this one was a great product as far as I am concerned. ... show more

Oh yeh, ooooh yeh. Once I discovered the shiatsu style massagers, I am never going back to vibration style. You want something that feels like someone is actually massaging you? go with shiatsu. Need deep pressure? go with shiatsu. Just need to feel like you are experiencing human touch? shiatsu. I have the long shoulder & neck style, and the small kidney shaped style (lower back, neck, leg). Both, all are great. I am in love with those. Then recently I saw shiatsu chairs and chair pads come up as an Amazon suggestion, and since my back was hurting a lot, I was sniffing around purchasing one. Not wanting to spend $100+ at this time, I determined what it is that I actually need. I have shiatsu massagers that are comfortable and easy to use on my neck. But not any that are comfortable and easy to use on my back. I mean, not bad, but I have been really wanting one with the back in mind. The others work, but it only covers limited area. So I figured I could bypass the chair & chair mats (for now), and maybe get something in between- a larger massager for the back. How did I decide on this one? I looked at the amount of massaging balls. I saw a cheaper but nearly equally sized back massager. It touted how much bigger it is than the kidney shaped one. But it is the same massager just in a larger holder. So I would not be getting any more area covered. It would maybe just be easier and more comfortable to sit against- maybe will get one like that at another time. Glad I saw that. So when I saw this, it seemed to hit all that I was looking for: 1. multi nub shiatsu balls to cover more area, up and down the back 2. heat (optional) 3. auto reverse (trust that this is a must have option. It adds extra sensation by switching up after awhile). This is not the same auto reverse as I experience on my others where it is same motion, then changes direction and has same motion. This is more of a changing up of direction to get a different massage. Depending on your needs, you may like this or want to look elsewhere. 4. different massages, intensities 5. CORDLESS. Some I dont mind corded, but I really wanted this particular style to be cordless. So take it anywhere, use anywhere. Just be sure to charge it up. Another nice thing? The adapter has a light on it. When it is red, it is still charging, when it turns green, it is ready to go. There is an optional flap (folds back out of the way, or zippers off) to add a level of padding if regular shiatsu is too much. The material is nice, has a good look. Not cheap looking or feeling. Pressure is divine. I can move this up the back (or lower) it depending on what I want it to hit. Feels comfortable to lean against. I lean back for even deeper pressure. Feels so good. Mmmmm Comes in a basic box with brand printed on it and handle. I would give this as a gift no problem. Also has charger and a set of instructions. $84 was definitely my upper limit, but the $20 coupon helped me make a final decision. ... show more

This massager seems sturdy. It has plenty of features. My husband weighs about 190 lbs. He has had back problems for decades, this massager does a good job on his sore spots. Of course his back will never heal but this gives him some relief. I have a boney back so I can only use it in 2D. If it lasts it’s worth the money for sure. ... show more

Works fine. The product as it is discribed. We’ll made, but the massage balls are weirdly situated. It doesn’t really hits the painful muscles and under the shoulder blades. It feels like it’s hitting the bones not the muscles at least on my body. I’m 5’6 tall and 160 weight. Maybe it would be fine if you’re built differently. ... show more

This product and its description are very accurate. The massages are intense but I need intense to help with the pain and knots I recieve from work.
