This pant is almost perfect (and I am a true fan of Columbia bootcuts!). I usually go for the nylon blends but had to try this "all seasons" pant because you never know when you'll find the perfect fit. To me, and I am a size 2 normally, this XS is hard to pull up over my hips but, like another reviewer said, once up, they feel great! I also think that they will stretch out with wash and wear, so I am purchasing a few. The waistband sits nicely on the waist, and I think there's even a bit of compression on the tummy area. The stretch is very comfortable and since I've tested them in different activities, they've been flawless. I might tell you to size up if you are an apple but keep your regular size if you're a pear! Also, these pants will be great for travel...they dry super-fast! Why only 4 stars? I think they would've been perfect with a zipper! ... show more

This fit fine in the waist, but are very baggy and the hips and legs. I love the material as it dries quickly and it's pretty much wrinkle free. I wish Colombia had not discontinued the tie waist version.

Perfect pants. True to size. I'm 5'6'' 120 lbs. Ordered xs, could have gone up a size as the waist band isn't super stretchy but they fit comfortably and look great. Well made, high quality material. So disappointed. The original version of these pants were perfect for a pear shape that has trouble finding active pants. Taking away the draw string for a pant meant for curves makes it non functional. me, 5'4 140 34/28/39 generally wear 8/10 in pants, was 8 short in the original pants. Ordered both Mshort and Sshort. Medium had hard time getting fixed nonstretch waistband over hips, but the hip area was wierdly baggy and pouched unflatteringly. The small could not even get over hips again because of the terrible design of the fixed waistband. devotees of the original, dont waste your time with these. ... show more

WHY did they replace the original anytime bootcut pants with THESE?? The waist is abnormally tight even when I went up a size and nowhere near as comfortable in the overall fit as the original. The zip up with tie waist made the fit adjustable and with this new design, there is zero abilty to adjust the waist tightness. Huge design flaw in the designer that promoted these as an upgrade. ... show more
