Definitively more powerful than my cerwin vega ve 8 at 150 watt 91dB. The cerwin vega sl 28 are 300 watts at 89 dB not as loud as the ve 8 but has more bass and can handle more power

Can't beat Cerwin Vega. Maybe. Sounds so good and clear. I almost gave a poor review but finally connected my receiver to my TV so I could see the speaker setup. Lmao. Now it's perfect. Very loud. Great bass. Cool looking. Nice size. I love them.

    • They can handle a lot of RMS power. Great speakers.
They sound great and do not distort very easily and you can run these speakers alone without a sub because they do have bass on their own. I run 75watts to my cerwin vega sl28 speakers and it pushes them great even though they are rated at 300 watt.

Very happy with this purchase. Was going to purchase the klipsch tower speaker similar to this but at a higher price and glad I went with the CV. Sound is awesome. They look great with or without the grill/cover. Nice addition to my surround sound system.

    • Perfect sound.
Perfect for home cinema without dedicated bass. Plenty of low, decent highs, perfectly paired with an sl25 center speaker. Using an old Sony amp, 5.1, but no need for bass. Using it in a 3/2 confit in a 16x 22 vaulted ceiling media room. I had some reverb and echoe noticed, but went out and bought a 10x8 area rug and rearranged to pictures on the wall which solved all the issues. Very happy with these speakers. ... show more
