  • Great jacket! Warmer than you’d think
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
I bought this jacket on a last minute whim for a snow day trip to Tahoe. I have thicker and nicer jackets but they’ve all become less waterproof over the years. This was the only jacket I could find that was affordable with next day shipping that also didn’t look like some big fluffy Sherpa’s parka. I’m also a big guy, and by big I mean fat beer gut dad bod. When it arrived I thought I made a terrible mistake. This jacket is about a hair thicker than a hefty garbage bag. Certainly a jacket this lightweight isn’t going to work well in the snow? I did wear thermal undies, a thick polo shirt and a thin sweater underneath, and this jacket actually kept me dry and warm the entire day in the snow! A beanie under the hood helped as well. The sleeve length is perfect, I think I’m a 33/34, length was perfect just below the waist and it fit over my stomach and zipped up fine. Jacket size was XXL. Amazing jacket for the price. ... show more

  • One of the best rain jackets I've had
Size: X-Large Color: Graphite
One of the better rain jackets I've had. Underarm zippers add the ability to open it up for breathability in warmer weather. Its held up for years now. If I ever need another rain jacket, it'll be a Columbia. The fit is great. The hood is set up with a bill to protect your hat too.

  • I would recommend as a reasonaly priced, decent quality waterproof jacket for daily use.
Size: 3X Color: Graphite
This jacket is a decent choice for daily use, such as commuting to work/school etc. It would also be a good choice for more laid back camping/outdoor activities. Its light and packs down well. It is waterproof and has kept me dry in some pretty heavy downpours. And while technically the material is breathable, it is very limited and will definitely build up condensation on the inside quickly if exerting yourself. The wicking effect just takes too long on this level of material. You need to spend at least 4 times as much money to get a truly breathable jacket, able to stand up to more rigorous outdoor activities. On a side note. I've read a few comments about these jackets possibly being knock offs, based on the logo not being a sewn on design, and some other cosmetic differences. I have a couple of older Columbia jackets that also have the swn on logos etc. If you go to Columbia's official website (which is what I did after reading comments about possible fake jackets) the images for this jacket (and many others) clearly show that the logo etc are some kind of printed on design. Not the sewn on kind. My guess is they switched to printed designs at some point, and some of the older stuff with the sewn designs is still in circulation along with the newer designs. ... show more

  • More Than a Rain Jacket
Size: Medium Color: Black
A Review of the Columbia Men’s Watertight Rain Jacket The Columbia Men’s Watertight Rain Jacket is a lightweight waterproof jacket with a slim design. As the name suggests, the jacket is very much capable of keeping you dry on a rainy day; however, its value goes way beyond a rain coat. Here are several features that make this jacket a wonderful addition to your wardrobe. Waterproof and Windproof This jacket is truly waterproof. It helps you stay clean and dry even in the pouring rain. With the waterproof technology comes the wonderful stain repellent feature. No matter how dirty the jacket gets during a rainy day, a simple wipe is enough to take care of it. The windproof feature provides an extra protection against the cold. Meanwhile, the fabric is still breathable that it allows moisture vapor to move away from the skin. The only downside is that the waterproof feature can post difficulty when it comes to washing this jacket. You may find a pouch of water when you take it out of the washer. An extra cycle of drying will take care of the issue if this ever occurs. Design This jacket is lined with a soft layer of mesh and is very light weight. The longer arm length and body length provide enough coverage to keep you dry no matter how hard the wind is blowing. The hood comes out far enough forward to shield your face while the drawstring helps keep the hood on even in strong wind. Two front pockets with zipper are big enough to protect a phone, a wallet, a set of keys, and even a pair of gloves from getting rained on. The slim design delivers a more modern look than its competitors, helping you keep the style even on an awfully crummy day. Meanwhile, the jacket is still generous with space around your chest so that you always have enough room for a sweater or a hoodie or even a coat. Another notable feature is that the entire jacket can be packed into the front left pocket, which comes with a double-sided zipper. Versatility Few jackets are as versatile as this one. The waterproof and windproof features make this jacket practically perfect for a fishing trip. The breathable fabric makes sure that you can throw this jacket over your favorite tee on a rainy day in the middle of the summer. You can also layer up under this jacket for fall or winter use. The matt finish and the slick look ensure that no one knows you are using a rain jacket as a spring/fall windbreaker. You can also use this jacket to protect your pea coat from getting wet on a snow day. Overall, the Columbia Men’s Watertight Rain Jacket is a high quality jacket that can be worn in many occasions. It surely has room for improvements. But for the price you are paying, you can hardly find a better deal than this. ... show more

  • Light weight, easy to store. Jacket will keep you dry during a storm.
Size: Large Color: Collegiate Navy
Colombia is a reputable brand who makes great products. This jacket serves its purpose of protection from the rain, it's light weight, soft and comfortable. Plus having a hood helps for heavy down pours. Fun to wear with added security that you won't get drenched during a down pour.

  • Wow really nice jacket
Size: XX-Large Color: Black
got this for wearing in case of working in the rain. If you’re around 6 foot 230 like me, an xl will fit fine, but if you want a little more room to layer warmer cloths underneath (I do) then a xxl works well. I think the sleeves would be a little short on the xl, glad I got the xxl because it gives a little more length to the sleeves. I’m kinda long in the arms and legs. Nice feeling quality not stiff at all, very flexible. It’s probably not the heaviest duty durable jacket that will last years of abuse, but it’s also pretty affordable. I have a very expensive and super durable mountain hardware jacket for that kind of occasion. ... show more
