Description

Ride in style with this lightweight 18-speed RJ26A can be folded within 10 seconds for easy storage and transportation. Its intuitive frame-folding function allows the bike’s frame to fold in on itself. The substantially sturdy frame is made with a lightweight but durable alloy. By detaching the quick-release handlebar from the head tube and removing the seat post and saddle from the seat tube and fold pedals, this bike can be folded to fit into a cubic space of 38"x14"x29". Camping grounds, parks, mountain trails, you name it – this bike can handle it all. It’s even equipped with a suspension fork along with frame spring suspension to absorb the impact of an uneven road. It will be accomplished with this top-notch Columba folding bike. This bike can fit into the rear trunk of a compact car, like a Honda Civic 2000 or a Toyota Prius. We CANNOT guarantee that the bike will fit in all compact cars, since some compact cars may have a very small trunk space. • 4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome bikes. BAD SEATS!!
We really like these bikes. We have a 4 door jeep and these fit nicely in the back (2) the seats are absolutely horrible I highly suggest ordering a new seat with the bike because we took them on a trip but the seats were so bad we were only able to ride for 40 min and had to park them the rest of the 2 days. I was really disappointed but luckily we brought our Jetson bikes too. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Review and commentary from a 1 year owner of the RJ26A (blue)
Color: Blue
I bought this bike back in April 2012. It is now June 2013 and I have used it on and off for a total of maybe 700 miles or so, which I know isn't heavy use but what can I say. After a year of using this it still runs great. The tread is a little worn but it has a ways to go yet before replacing, appears barely worn. I love this bike considering it only cost $279 when I bought it. Assembly was fairly easy. Some important suggestions if you are buying this or any other variant of this model. When assembling or re-assembling the folding bike remember that it is really easy to have the front forks and wheel turned around. An easy rule to remember is (and Im going to use all caps to help you recall this is that THE FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS SHOULD ALWAYS BE *IN FRONT OF* THE FORKS. If you assemble the bike from a folding state (where you removed the handlebars) and notice that the front brake calipers are BEHIND the front forks then STOP and flip the wheel around. Riding the bike in this fashion is quite dangerous, in particular on inclines. I learned this the hard way when I assembled it while tired - front wheel was backwards and I went out for a quickie run and almost smacked into a curb because my stopping power was greatly diminished. So, remember - FRONT BRAKES FORWARD. You can even draw a small arrow pointing "this way forward" on the fork tubes using a Sharpie as an extra measure. We all do stupid things when we are tired! Another suggestion is to get a Gel-seat overlay which makes riding this thing super-comfy. Also, this bike has a max weight rating of 200 lbs so if you are like me and hovering around the 2 bill mark on the scale, consider stiffening the rear shock to compensate. I am no expert but it just seemed like the read shock was tuned for someone fairly light. I found that the tire inflation pressure of around 55PSI feels like the optimal tradeoff between road rumble and rolling resistance. The max pressure is 65 PSI. Here on Amazon there are a number of gel-seat overlays for around $20-40. Continuing suggestions, if you are going to buy this model then definitely get a large strap to secure the wheels together when you fold it up, otherwise the bike will flop around and be quite difficult to handle folded up. What I did: I found some SCORPION STRAPS and combined two of them to create one large velcro strap which is perfect for securing the wheels together. I think you can find these scorpion velcro straps here on Amazon somewhere. Final suggestion - I would strongly suggest buying a Park Tool 3-way wrench also here on Amazon. T10 T25 and T30 wrench sizes. The reason is that you will almost certainly need to play around with the brake pads and to get them seated just right you are going to need an easy to handle Torx wrench. The one that comes with the bike is a simple key wrench which makes brake adjusting a lot harder than it has to be. So that's it! If you are much heavier than 210 pounds and/or over 6 feet tall then this bike is probably not going to be sturdy enough for you. Overall this bike is incredible, and it's no wonder that 2KSilver can't keep them in stock for long. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars NIce bike but there were few issues
Color: Blue
We got two of those bikes (red and silver) after reading all the positive reviews. Buying experience from 2KSIVER was good though there was several days delay - looked like they were out of stock (though the web site listed them in stock with 5 left). But they answered all emails promptly and did their best to get bikes delivered in time for our vacation. The bikes came securely packed and almost fully assembled, the red one had a small frame damage but that was not critical. No tools needed - unfold the frame and pedals, turn the seat, install the handlebar, inflate tires and you are ready to go. They do the trick - both easily fit in the back of our Subaru Outback with rear seatbacks down and that was what we needed the folding bikes for. First impression was good, bikes seem well build and ride is relatively comfortable thanks to double suspension. Few negative comments after the first ride: - Rear derailer in one bike needed adjustment, had to un-tight the cable screw and readjust cable length otherwise the gear number on the hand bar did not correspond with the number of the sprocket. - In both bikes real derailer guards were bent and prevented switching to gears 5 and 6. Had to manually straighten them. That and the previous problem with derailer would be impossible task for a lot of people with no mechanical skills - means visit to a repair shop. - Front derailer does not have gear number indication. - Despite of the alloy frame and rims they are relatively heavy - 34 lb. - They do not support riders heavier than 200 lb - come on, who they are for, just teens and girls?? should be good for 250 lb at least. - Both I and my wife found the narrow seats very uncomfortable. Ended up with spending $60 more for two wide soft seats (and Columba does make the wider seats part # 20A for the same price as the original part # 26A ones!). Besides, being 6'2" I had to order a longer 12" seat post separately. It should be possible to select seat post length and seat style while ordering the bikes! Other than that - nice bikes for the money, overall quality and durability seem to be good. ... show more
