This heavy box was well packed and the instructions were very clear. The wood looks high quality and all pieces in pristine condition,, including 2 glass doors.. All parts were well marked. You will need a good quality philips head screwdriver (preferably a drill), as well as a flathead screwdriver to tighten the screw locks. They supply a small Allen wrentch, but its used for 4 screws, all of the rest are Philips. I'm a novice at this, it took me about 2 hours, but really found it easy to assemble by following the instructions carefully. It has to be easy if I figured out how to put it together by myself! ISSUES: Tricky to get all the top cover pins aligned so the top was flush to the body of the unit. Also, the fireplace was difficult to secure the way they direct you, as it was impossible to reach the inside screw holes, so I skipped that and just supported it using the back clamps. The instructions were vague as to which direction the upper magnet piece went for the doors. My philips screwdriver stripped trying to attach the metal plates for the magnetic doors. Get them flush, for If they stick out even the slightest, the door won't connect to the magnet correctly and comes open easily. There were no predrilled holes in back of the unit to screw in the 2 backings, so I hammered them in, as they gave additional stability and were important to attach. REVIEW:It looks beautiful in my room. Yes it's a slightly fake looking fire, but it is pleasant and relaxing. You can always purchase a different insert if you prefer a more realistic looking fire. Once it is finally put together, it is very cute. I gave it 4 stars because: the directions are only pictures and some of them are hard to read (causing us to put a few things on backwards resulting in broken hardware. There is only 1 predrilled hole for the two back pieces. There were a few small areas of damage on the top piece and the fireplace was slightly dented ( none of which are visible when assembled nor prevent the piece from working properly). I would say it definitely takes 2 people and a lot of patience… I suggest waiting until fully rested and in good spirits prior to assembly or pay for the expert assembly. Maybe don’t try to assemble on a Friday night when you and your boyfriend have had a long exhausting week with little sleep and possibly prone to crabbiness. We are both still alive and relatively uninjured-only minor scratches and bruised egos were acquired. We still love each other and our relationship was not damaged in the process but definitely challenged. Good luck! ... show more

I have a smaller living room so I needed something that wasn’t too big. This was perfect! Went together perfectly for us and didn’t take long to assemble. No damage to the tv stand during shipping as well. Would definitely buy again!

If we knew how horrible the assembly would be, we would NEVER have bought this! Like many, we were sucked in by the pretty photos. We have done a LOT of "put it together stuff" over 20 years and this was by far the WORST ever. What should have been 1 hour was easily 2 1/2 - just a BAD DESIGN. And POOR QUALITY One glass panel was broken upon arrival and apparently somehow that isn't covered. Like what? The top was badly warped. We had to put 200 pounds on it, to reduce the bend so I could fasten it on to the frame. ... show more

I was initially excited to get the TV stand. I set up for notification of the delivery which was supposed to be two hours on advance. The delivery person delivered my stand leaving it out on the street and of course it was stolen. I contacted Amazon and they sent a replacement order and the delivery person followed the instructions, brought the stand in the building and even knocked on the door. Unfortunately, when I unboxed the stand it was damaged (see pictures above). I went through to much to return it. The stand itself is somewhat sturdy but I wouldn’t put anything heavy on it. It was somewhat easy to assemble took about 2 hours. Make sure you have someone to help you. It’s not as high as I would like but it serves the purpose for now. ... show more

This cabinet arrived in excellent condition and is beautiful. It says two people are required for assembly but my husband was able to put it together alone in less than two hours.
