I bought this magnetic blind to hang on my metal door. Blind is nice, very easy to install, and magnets are strong; but, as mentioned in many reviews, the blind does fall if it’s not held at the top while raising or lowering. I added glue to the rims of the magnets and that did help. When blind was delivered, a portion of the box was taped shut and I could tell it had been opened at some point. Blind was still in its cellophane and all three magnets were there though. No instructions—not that I needed them. The wand was also not in there but some sort of metal that had absolutely nothing to do with it was! How funny!! See pictures. I was able to use a wand from another blind I replaced. Besides that, it’s a nice blind but stronger magnets would be nice to keep it from flying off the door.

I don't like that the magnets are not as strong as I think they could be because opening the French door too quickly will dislodge them to the ground. So I now hold them up with one hand supporting them to the frame while opening the door. And you have to support them this way when pulling on the drawstring, too. But they do serve their purpose for me and I raise and lower them daily as needed.

We bought a new steel door so thought the magnetic holder blind would be great and we wanted a corded one. Luckily we found the size we wanted, which was good. Took it out of the box(it arrived in good shape) and put it up. It kept falling off. We looked at the magnets and there were 4 little slits for magnets to show through, and they were uneven. It would not stay up. Husband ended up drilling holes after all to keep it up which we were trying to avoid, but decided to do this as it was the size we needed. Also, there is nothing to keep it in place at the bottom, so every time we opened the door, the blinds would slam against the door. Luckily we had some spare pieces from other blinds over the years and used those at the bottom to keep the bottom in place.

My previous door shade finally wore out, and when I went to the store to replace it, found that the model I had used previously was not available. Looked in many stores, both in person and on line, and was coming up short until I found this shade. What I loved about it, was that I didn't have to drill new holes to install. The door it went on was metal and I don't have a drill that can drill metal. So, it was out of the box, and on to the door, doesn't slip when I raise or lower it. And this is the first time I had a shade that actually fit the window in the door - this one does - perfectly - and I love it!

Product looks great but if you try to open or close blinds, raise blinds up or down, they fall down. The magnets just are not powerful enough to use product except for just hanging. That is what I use them for so ok to use. But if its doors you are going to use, get a different product or find a way to secure them.

Item arrived much sooner than I was expecting. At my last house I had a pair of magnetic blinds on my back door they were very inexpensive $10.00 and I only had to replace them twice (kids) in 22 years, made of aluminum and the bottom attached to the door with 2 inexpensive brackets that came with the blinds so they didn't swing and bang when you used the door, at the top the blind attached with super strong magnets. Well I moved and have the same type of door figured I use the same treatment. Apparently these are the only ones available and they do look quite nice and are easy to assemble and attach. So good to look at... but not so good if you choose to open or close the door as they sway and slam on the door and whatever you do DO NOT try to raise the blinds as they will come tumbling down in a heap on your head ! I paid $37.00 for these which is steep for a plastic blind you cannot use other than to look at or gently open the slats I have invested another $7 to buy velcro to try to hold the bottom down and I found some cabinet magnets for $11 to try to wedge and glue to the top rail hopefully it will keep them on the door. I just think it shouldn't be that difficult or expensive for a simple and inexpensive item. But from a distance they look nice so I guess nowadays that's all I can ask for.

I love the blinds I love the way they look once they’re up the magnet to hold them up is not strong so when I pulled on the string to pull the blind up, it all came off the window if you were to mount them with screws and not use the magnet, it would be perfect
