I like the little extras of Cole Hahn quality construction. I also have a rain coat in the brand so wanted to try a warm, winter coat as well. It's so warm that I only wear it when it's below freezing out. I'm happy with it overall.

I got a size Large to accommodate my 34D chest and 40" booty. The coat fit fine over my hips, with room to spare, but is snug in the chest and upper back, making it difficult to freely move my arms. Even when I was 20-30lbs lighter, this seems to be a problem with women's jackets in general and I wish they would make women's jackets roomier in the bust. I like wearing men's jackets for that very reason (I can wear a Men's "Small" and still have plenty of room in the bust, upper back and arms), but then they aren't as flattering. Sigh. Otherwise, the waist has plenty of room for me (I have a 28" waist) and the coat is overall attractive and flattering. I love that the hood is oversized, warm and has snaps and drawstring to keep it on your head. The color is a darker purple than the Amazon photo for this "Merlot" color, but I still like the color. I think I'll *probably* keep this jacket for those days it's really cold outside (I live in Colorado where some winter days can be in the single digits and others 60 degrees, like today!) and for now, just live with the snug chest until I find better. I really think the XL would be way too big everywhere else. ... show more

Color is even prettier than the website display. Coat looks EXPENSIVE. Great quality & versatility. Zip the interior "vest" when it's just chilly, zip everything & it handles the frigid cold. Pleasantly surprised!

I wanted to replace my exact same coat that I bought over 5 years in a smaller size and different color. 1/ The weight of this coat is MUCH lighter than my original which led me to check the label inside. 2/ The fill is now 30% down clusters, 30% waterfowl feather, 40% polyester. Original: 50% down, 50% feathers and the warmth was worth every penny! The original coat was the warmest coat I’ve ever owned so I will be keeping the original down jacket even though it too big and returning this one. ... show more

I normally wear a medium but purchased a large based on others' reviews. It was a good decision. The zipper is VERY sensitive. It gets stuck very easily.
