I actually tried this jacket on in a major dept store and bought it on the spot. That's how much I loved it. I'm 5' 2", 119 lbs, and the XS fit me perfectly with a couple of thin layers underneath. This jacket is warm without making you look like the Michelin man. It also hit mid-thigh on me, which is exactly what I was looking for. I also like the faux fur collar and faux leather lining; they give the jacket nice detailing without being over the top. Zipper operates smoothly and the button closure over the zipper is a nice touch. Agree that the hood is too large to be effective, but I do not intend to wear this jacket when it is raining hard outside (I have a North Face jacket for rain.) The nice design details make this jacket dressier than a North Face or other outdoorsy jacket, but not so fancy that you can't wear it everyday. Again, exactly the look I was looking for. Nevertheless, I ended up returning the jacket as I thought it might go on sale. Well, a pop up ad comes up on my screen for this jacket on Amazon. I had no idea Amazon would carry something like this. When I clicked on the link, the pricing on this jacket seemed too good to be true, so I bought it. Even though I have prime, I selected standard shipping, but it still delivered in two days. You cannot beat Amazon for the price and service!!! The coat is beautiful, but is running about a half size small. I almost always wear a medium coat, but this is a bit narrow overall- chest, waist and hips. The green-gray is beautiful and subtle. I think the coat is very well made and not cheap at all. The hood is zippered in and like a rain hood, so not the traditional hood, so if you need a real warm hood, this is not the right coat. I would wear the coat with a hat and not use the hood, except over a hat ideally in really bad weather. ... show more

I have been watching this coat for a month deciding whether or not I will like it bc I don't normally wear this style in coats. I'm glad I purchased it. It doesn't look cheap at all, I thought it would bc of the reviews, sometimes you just have to take a risk to see for yourself. If it doesn't work you know you can send it back. This coat my dear darlings you will not be sending back. I love this color (forest) and it looks like in the photo. The fur around the collar I feel should look more fluffed, yet it's very soft to touch. The brown zipper and pocket detail is not leather however one would not know unless up close and still there is no real take away from the coat bc it truly looks nice. This is a down filled coat so it does heat up while you're trying it on. I'm a C cup so the chest area is comfortable for me, if you are larger in breast I would say go up in size. The waist (stomach) area has room and it comes to my hip; it has length. My overall impression of this coat is it is great quality and good thought was put in the designing of this coat. I’m 5”3, 165 pounds. I’m in my mid 30s. Usually size 8-10, 34DD bra size. Purchased in large. Fit is fantastic, coat feels heavy but not too heavy. Excellent stitching, attention to detail. Got the color that’s the light brown and it’s gorgeous, flattering for anyone I think. Length is great, keeps my bum covered, hits at about mid thigh for me, maybe slightly longer. Can definitely wear a nice chunky sweater under it with no issues. I took my time looking for just the right coat and I’m glad I did. Absolutely worth the money. ... show more

    • Loved it until the snap came off

This coat was everything I wanted. It is pretty and so warm. However, after only two months of wearing it, one of the front snaps came off. Not only can I not snap it, it is visibly obvious. I hate that this happened. I loved the coat, and it would be an easy 5 star review had that not happened.
