I was using a good firm memory foam pillow, and it was giving me the best sleep of my life for a few years, but I think my needs changed for some reason or other recently. I started to feel like my head was being angled up or down, and it was starting to drive me crazy. I wanted to feel like my head, neck and spine were aligned properly when I sleep on my side, and decided to try this pillow out since the actual Pillow Cube is $100. It's been very worth it. I feel very comfy sleeping on this pillow. It's just the right amount of firm/supportive & squishy for my taste, and holds my head up so it's not angled funny. My neck issues seem to be getting better. My boyfriend is really curious about it too and keeps saying he needs to take a nap on it soon so he can see if he should get one too, so maybe I'll update if that ever happens. He's addicted to anything that helps him sleep cool, and this pillow has a cold side as well that is *really* nice and cold. They did a good job there. ... show more

I noticed the first time using it that this pillow is able to breathe and not trap heat. Its also not very thick, so it wont push your head up too high and kink your neck like a regular pillow does. I also like how I can sleep at the very edge of the pillow and it doesn't touch my face. So it kind serves as an anti-wrinkle pillow as well. Overall good purchase decision because my other pillow was so hot and uncomfortable that it was giving me anxiety and making my sweat, even though I'm in a cool room, causing me to wake up in the middle of the night, ruining my sleep. I didn't realize how unsupportive my former pillow was, until I tried this pillow over a month ago. My shoulders are less achy, along with my neck. Though I sleep mostly on my side, I've had no issues with sleeping on my back with it. I prefer the blue side. I have yet to buy a specialized pillowcase for it, but I need to. Putting a standard pillowcase on it causes movement and bunched fabric since it's too loose. I haven't noticed any issues with heat. Worth the money! ... show more

I have lately become an exclusive side sleeper & would regularly sleep with arm under my old pillow to get it to the right height. Cue awful sleep and daily neck/shoulder cricks. It was becoming unbearable! After a month of sleeping on this pillow, my neck & shoulders feel so much better — a complete 180. I bought this pillow because my other pillows were causing me to have beck pains and trouble sleeping, and let me tell you as soon as my head hit this pillow I was OUT. This pillow is great for sleeping on your side as well as your back, it does have a little bit of a smell when you first use it but after one night it goes away! It is light weight, although the cooling temperature feature of it doesn’t stick out to me cause I don’t feel that much cooler. But overall it’s performance as a cube pillow is great. I wanted to get a pillow that would give me the support I needed to ease neck and shoulder pain. I tore a rotator cuff years ago and occasionally the nerve in my neck/shoulder pinches painfully and impacts my sleep. Additionally, I find a cool pillow is one of the major factors of falling asleep with ease. My spouse has a buckwheat pillow and really likes it but I wanted to try a cube pillow for the height and neck support. Honestly I took a stab at the dark with this one because I didn't want to spend a gazillion dollars and wasn't sure a cube would work for me. I have had it a couple of weeks now and find that the neck/shoulder pain has really mitigated quite a bit. It is fairly cool (OK it's August pillows can only do so much!) too.     • Side sleeper's dream. Great shape, good firmness, not cooling.

The shape of this pillow has truly improved my sleep. I'm mostly a side sleeper, and occasionally back. Two things about this pillow made sleeping much more comfortable: 1) Neck gap is supported. I used to always need to put my arms under my pillow to feel supported enough. This was extremely uncomfortable. I'd wake up with my arms numb and my neck hurting anyway. Now, I never feel like I have to support the pillow with my arms. 2) Perfect height. Using this pillow makes me realize that most pillows are wayyy too high. I think it's related to the issue above, where we feel like we need taller pillows (or multiple ones) so that our neck is supported. Really, you just need the right support. This pillow gives me that and my spine and neck feel properly aligned. I actually notice that I wake up with much less stiffness than before, and don't have "cracks" when moving my neck and back after waking up like I did before. I feel like I've been wandering for a great pillow most of my adult life, and I think this is it. For this price, it's absolutely, 100% worth it. A couple things to keep in mind: - The pillow is not cooling. It's memory foam, which can never be cooling. It can feel cool when you first lay on it (like a lot of pillows), but it will absorb your body heat to a degree. - As noted in the post, each side is a different firmness, which is noticeable when you lay on it. It seems to have maintained its firmness so far after a couple of months, but this is something I'll keep an eye on. ... show more
