The back of this chair does not rise high enough to lean back into and rest your back and shoulders (12 inches). It is fine if you are sitting straight up with perfect posture. The cushion brackets have two heights which can lower the seat by one inch, but that was not enough for me. The cushions are medium-firm to firm-not that comfy. My elbows were just at the front of the arms so the elbows forwards are not supported. I am over 6 ft tall with long arms so this may not be an issue with shorter folks. I like the looks of it and the taupe velvet was nice but the stapling underneath the back rest was very concerning. I have to send it back at a cost of $12.95 for UPS to pick it up. ... show more
