The skate guards are an important part of your skating package. They protect the sharp blades and things like porches, steps and even carpet before going outside to skate. The measurements were given as to what size one would need in order to cover the size of the blade. I It was in the item description picture with what sizes would fit with your length of blade. I measured and ordered the extra large blade and they fit like a glove. They come with a rubber attachment which almost acts as a spring that you put your blade into the slot of the guard, and back it up to the guard and spring it over the jagged toe kick. So easy! The best part is that you get "footies" that cover up the guards, once they are dry. Wipe off your blades before putting them back into the guards. Skate blades can rust. Great buy! ... show more
