This seemed to be the best value with good reviews when I was searching for a mattress topper, so I decided to try it. We have a very firm memory foam mattress that I realized was really not helping my chronic back issues at my ripe age of 33 :) We didn't want to purchase a new mattress at the moment, so we decided to try a topper. This is very thick and soft - it feels like such nice cotton, I don't know how to describe it. The quality has held up really well and we have had it for a while now. It is quite large, so washing it at home is kind of a challenge. It fits very easily on our king sized mattress. I got this for my king bed to help make my Temper-pedic mattress a little more cozy. This has definitely done that! It does get a little flat after a while of sleeping on it, but then I change the sheets and fluff it back up.

I got a memory foam mattress that was extremely firm. I added this and made the mattress extremely better. The quality is extremely well. Fits well, and has a lot of material to go under then mattress to hold it in place. Highly recommended.

I am impressed by the packaging, first of all. The mattress pad is pressed into a vacuum-sealed bag but is a tight fit in the box--it's a small but important detail that there was a cardboard strip placed under the flaps that were taped closed. It protected the mattress pad from being damaged upon opening the box with a sharp object. So glad they did this!! I haven't used the mattress pad yet, but it is quite heavy, thick, and puffy. It recommends washing and drying first, but even though I have a larger front-loading washing machine, it's not big enough to accommodate movement. I will need to take this to a laundromat or other commercial facility to be washed and dried so I don't damage the pad or my machine. I'm excited to try it and it seems like it will be very soft and comfortable! I'll update this review, if not. ... show more

The edges on this topper are very thick and plush feeling but the center "squares" feel very underfilled and look flat. I washed and dried the topper as instructed on the packaging, and in order to fluff it up more. When I laid on it to try it out quick, I don't notice a huge difference between my mattress without the topper compared to with the topper. I was hoping there would be a more dramatic "sink into the clouds" feeling, but that's not happening. I'm hoping when I actually go to sleep on it I notice more of a difference. My new mattress is harder than I expected (the floor model was much softer than the brand new one I purchased), and it hurts my lower back. I bought this mattress pad hoping for that plush-top feel I was hoping for in the mattress and to help alleviate the back pain. I will update when I have actually slept on it, and see how it affects the back pain. Also, to keep from having to wash it frequently (let's face it, it filled up my washer and dryer so I don't want to have to wash it very often), I put the mattress protector I had over the top of it. Both have more than enough depth to cover and stay on the mattress. I will probably need to get another set of deep pocket sheets to accommodate but I was planning to get another set anyway. I am already anticipating having to get another form of topper to get the feel I'm looking for, but this will certainly remain on my bed. May just need to add another layer to make it what I want. ... show more

I have bought many toppers in the past year and they ended up smashing flat in a week or two or turned lumpy after washing. I took a chance on this one and OMGOSH so glad I did. I've had bad back problems and several surgeries that started at a young age. Getting comfy has been so hard. I've been diagnosed with Adhesive Arachnoiditis, a rare disease, that causes inflammation an tumors in my spinal canal. Second most painful disease with bone cancer being the first. Lying down is the least painful so I'm in my bed A LOT. My mattress has to be firm but that causes my hips and shoulders to hurt. If it's too soft my back hurts even worse. This topper has been my happy medium. It adds the softness I need for those pressure points but not so soft that it defeats the purpose of having a firm mattress. It's still like sleeping on a cloud. I've slept the best ever since putting it on the bed. The first few days that's basically all I did was sleep and that's ok bcuz I needed it. I wasn't awake after a couple of hours bcuz my pain level was out the roof. I've been in heaven! I've read some reviews where ppl have bought 2 and put both on. I could see were that would make an instant fluffy fluffy pillowtop. It's still pretty fluffy with just one! I have a king size so my Aide has to take it to the laundromat to wash in the big washer and big dryer. I think any size should be taken to the laundromat anyways! That's where I messed up before when I had a full size bed. Putting toppers in a home washer, even a large capacity is gonna mess it up. Especially if your washer has an agitator. So far so good with this one being washed. Oh yeah, haven't been sweating either! You're not gonna go wrong with this one. Go ahead and spend the extra $20-$25 IT'S WORTH IT! All the others I've bought have been around the $60 mark and didn't last. Wished I'd found this one first. It only took two days to get to me. Another plus! Best money I've spent.
