I finally started switching from physical books to e-books and I like my kindle but I find it awkward to hold. I bought this specifically because it has the strap in back to put your hand through. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted. Looks nice, seems decent quality for the money. Fits my model perfectly. It took me a while to settle on this case because I was so unsure of what features I wanted from a case as I had just received my first kindle a day before this arrived. I knew I needed a hand strap but people have complained about it being on the left side I almost fell for it but I’m left handed so this is my preferred holding anyways. The tension on it is just right I have smaller hands and they still fit fine. It never hurts to have a stand and this one is really good. It wakes your kindle upon opening. And when holding it with the strap the back has a magnet to keep both parts together unlike some other cases I have seen. The color is beautiful and does not hold smudges in the material. Overall I am happy I chose this as my starter case and for the price point you can’t beat this. ... show more

Perfect fit for my 12th generation Paperwhite. Very light and thin. Very nice design. I definitely use the handhold but the kickstand works as well. Good value (but the price varies wildly depending on the design even though the cases are the same).

I love this case! The quality of it is great, it’s sturdy with a softer leather texture. My kindle fits snug and doesn’t fall out. You have to work to get the kindle out of the case. Which also has its drawbacks if I need to get it out. It loses a star for two reasons. 1 the hand strap is on the left side but we all know that to turn the page you tap the right side. So I wish it had a strap on the right so I could hold it and turn the page with the same hand. 2 the kickstand is short and it really doesn’t have ability to adjust the level of tilt. But I usually will just prop it against something if I don’t need to to lean back so far. I’ve brought this with me to the gym, work, long appointments; it’s been in my work bag, my purse, left all over my apartment and loose in my car and the case still looks new. Bought this case to protect my young child's kindle. It feels great and like it's good quality. Fits the kindle snug and I think it will protect it well based on what I've seen so far. Doesn't seem bulky at all and it is easy to hold.

Great quality case that works well and feel nice. I got it on discount for around $11 so feel well worth the price. As other have noted the strip position is a little bit awkward so can’t really comfortably put right hand in. The paperwhite also only support click on right edge of screen to advance, so even you are lefty or learnt to hold it with left hand, still need to “swipe right” to advance to next page, which of course not as ideal as a click. And can’t really install it upside down either since the holder part was cut to fit the bottom charging port and power button. Flipping the device will squeeze on the power button.
