UPDATE: Two years later we are still using these chairs and have been thrilled with them. They are super easy to clean as the fabric washes up very nicely with just water. They still look brand new, despite the abuse my children put them through. I spent about 45 minutes on each one, though to be fair, I was also watching tv at the same time which may have slowed me down. :) The chairs are cushy and comfortable and seem to be of good quality, especially for the price. We are very pleased. One thing we love about them is that they are heavy enough not to slide around too much - even after we placed felt feet on them to protect our floor. We wanted something classy and comfortable at an affordable price and we found it. Getting two chairs for this price is awesome and they are sturdy and comfortable. They arrived in about a week and it took some putting together but we just had Thanksgiving dinner and these were the two favorite spots in the whole house. Make sure that you measure the height of your counter so that you know what size bar stool to purchase. These are 24" which was within the correct height for our kitchen island. These stools are really nice looking. My husband is 235 lbs and they feel sturdy even to him. The padded high back is great for his bad back. I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 because they are a bit tricky to assemble. The cross pieces for the sides come packaged together, and it is tough to figure out which one fits which side of which chair. We ordered two sets at the same time, and the color of the material matched perfectly. Took about two hours to assemble all four. Our visiting relatives were also very impressed with how comfortable these stools were, and are going to order some for themselves. Good value for the money. ... show more

    • Okay, But not great...
I ordered these bar stools for two reasons...1) I thought they would look great at my kitchen island against my new hardwood floors and 2) I assumed, because they were made by Coaster, they would be sturdy and heavy like our bedroom furniture. I bought 2 sets and when I put one together I was not impressed at all. I'm only keeping them because my husband likes them, the height is perfect at my island, and they go with my décor (I guess they don't look that cheap). The cushions are soft but a little narrow. If you're super picky about furniture like me, try to bypass these stools and purchase a better quality. ... show more

Quickly shipped, well packaged, easy to unbox, easy to assemble (Phillips head #2 screw driver is required), - don't forget to use wood glue with all doweled pegs and lock-tight with all bolts. No gliders for leg bottoms are provided. Assembly of one stool takes 1 person 15 - 20 minutes including the wood glue and lock-tight. Hand strength is required if you use the provided assembly key. Be cautious of over tightening, if a power tool is used. Product is well worth the price. Seat cushion is exactly that and doesn't go flat. Wood finish is dark but acceptable. ONLY - drawback is that the assembled stool cushion height is 25.25" and even for my wife who is 5'9", when sitting on the stool her feet do not sit flat upon the floor. Yes - yes I know - just another chop saw task for perfect fit. ... show more

Arrived on date as promised and the stools' quality was as expected but one of my worst fears came true...I ordered cappuccino finish to match my dining set which was ordered at the same time with the same retailer!!! but they sent me walnut finish (how??? you'd think they could figure out that this customer wants everything the same color!). Don't want to deal with returning them but also not sure what to do with them, probably just give them away to my sister, very disappointed! I'm puzzled on how they can mess up the order? Cappuccino and walnut are two very different words and colors! ... show more

    • Priced right, easy to living
Assembled quickly and easily. Rick looking stain. Decent fabric that resists light stains. We've had them 8 months and still look new. Light and easy to move up to counter when sitting. I put felt pad on bottom of legs since we have hard wood floors. Chair pad has stood up to the cat claws so far, too. Not as heavy and expensive as commercial barstools. We are not hard out our furniture so if you have children, shove the backs not the counter, knock the stools around, then you might want something more industrial. Only thing I could wish for was the option to buy just one since our bar could fit three, but they are from China meaning you don't get custom, choices, or much input. ... show more

    • Pretty dark seat color - way too dark from the pic. Picture shows it as ivory

Didn't like the color of the seat. It's way too darker than in the picture. Please correct it. Not sure how I will send this hefty thing back. Kind if stuck with it for now.
