This review is for the VAUNO AC or battery operated alarm clock with FM radio. I haven’t used an actual alarm clock for years because most of them have a button next to the snooze button that shuts off the alarm. This alarm clock actually just has a sooner button, so no more fear of turning off the alarm and oversleeping. The product was sent through the mail and was packaged well to avoid damage. It included the clock radio, USB A type to their proprietary power connector. So this clock can run on any USB portable supply or brick that you plug into the wall. This makes it easy to take camping or traveling to places without AC power. In addition, the unit will run on 3 “AAA” batteries. On batteries however, the display will blank after 10 seconds to save power. It is easily read by pressing the snooze button. The readability and brightness of the clock was very surprising. It has 3 levels of brightness. When in clock mode (radio off) you simply press the snooze button to toggle through bright, medium and very dim. Please see the pictures of the 3 brightness levels. If you do not like a bright light while sleeping, this is the clock for you. The lowest level is still readable, but not annoying. The FM radio was also suprising. It is digital and can only tuned by autotune. It is very simple to autotune. You turn on the radio by pressing the radio button on the top. Then press and hold the “m” button for 3 seconds. The radio will scan through all available stations in your area and save them into a memory slot. This is very handy if you are moving locations often, like when camping. Here’s where it gets a bit confusing. To cycle through the radio station memory, you press the + or - buttons that would normally be used for volume. I live in a heavily populated area, so there were over 30 stations it stored. It stored all of them without issue, and I was able to cycle through them and pick the one I wanted to listen to. After picking a memory location, several seconds later and the frequency will actually show on the display. Several seconds after that, the clock will be displayed. To change the volume, you must press the “m” button and then used the + and - to adjust. This is a little difficult to remember, but for the price, you get a LOT of functionality for very little $. The power draw of this unit in clock mode is less than 1 watt, so barely the power of nightlight. Overall, I would recommend this clock radio to any campers, travelers, or people that don’t like bright lights when sleeping, but still want to be able to read the clock at a glance. I also took a picture of the display in bright sun so you can see how easy this is to read from across the room, even in a brightly lit room. I removed 1 star for the difficulty in controlling the radio. Otherwise, this is an awesome pick for the money!

Small mirrored alarm clock with AM/FM Radio (White) Bright white LCD display that is easy to read. Following the manual directions will explain in detail how to adjust the various settings including: 12/24 hour clock Dual programable alarms Snooze and brightness controls Radio station settings and volume. Short USB type C power cord is included There is also a battery slot for saving memory settings in the event of a power outtage or cordless use. The quality of the build is light and plastic however it's light compact and easy to use. The radio sounds great! It pre programmed 46 different radio stations. The value seems fine and I would recommend this to anyone interested. My favorite feature is the large bright LCD display - Very easy to read and has 3 brightness levels. The mirrored finish is reallyl nice touch!! My dislikes were the cheaper plastic feel and the settings require the manual to explain.

This VAUNO clock radio does exactly what I needed: it's easy to set, has dual alarms, and the display dimmer is a nice touch for nighttime. I like that it runs on batteries, so it’s portable and doesn't rely on being plugged in all the time. The FM radio works well and gets decent reception for local stations. The buttons are straightforward, and the snooze feature works just as expected. It's compact enough to fit on a small nightstand or desk without taking up too much space. Perfect for bedrooms, guest rooms, or even an office. Solid value for a basic, no-fuss alarm clock.

I got this for the stylish clock and really love the design. The mirror effect is sleek and matches the modern contemporary theme in our master bedroom. Minus 1 star - I took off a star for 2 reasons. First, I'm not sure that the radio works. I followed the instructions, but couldn't get it to change channels. I didn't care so much about this because I just wanted an alarm clock, but that may be important to some buyers. Second, the charging cord has a unique connector. Why not just make it a USB-C connection? That way any cord could be used with it in the future. It can also be powered with batteries. Still, I would prefer devices like this to have universal connections.

The FM radio is not great. The sound quality is quite bad. Do not use it only with batteries. It will only display the clock for a few seconds and in my case it locked up, failing to respond to button presses until I removed and put the batteries back in. Seems to work just fine when powered via 5V power and when configured for maximum intensity. Does not come with a power adapter. Works great as a night light. If they fix the lock-up bug this would be a useful device, but in the current state I don't recommend it.
